I love this spreadsheet so much!
I've started right-clicking in the cell that contains my value in the spending sheet (if that makes sense) and adding a comment to each cell, so I know what I've spent my money on.
For example, I've taken 2 lots of cash out, a substantial amount for rent for my boyfriend, which I know I'll remember, but also took some out today and will prob forget in a couple of months what it was for so typed in "railcard, gig tickets, £50 for nan" etc.... It's so so easy to use and I love it! It's helping massively!

Wornoutmumoftwo... sorry about the debt going up, but at least you know about it now
Hope it helps knock some more off the debts in the long term. Bagpuss, hope it makes a difference for you too.
Remember guys that the Debt Buster doesn't have your interest on there, you need to remember that interest is payable on top of whatever you put into the spreadsheet!
Shaark - the Notes is a fantastic way of adding comments to rememer what was spent. I used to put alot into the 'Miscellaneous' column, but no more - as putting notes in makes me think more, therefore I categorise properly now.
I can't wait to see how much I save in 2008 compared to 2007. My ideal would be to spend the same or less. But even spending the same as 2007 means I beat Mr Inflation, which is a good saving in itself with all the prices going up all the time :TMFW #185

How do you add things to the debt pot? I've got my next account in there and stuff has been added to my account that I bought in the christmas sale how do I show this as being added in February? I try listing it but it shows as a payment.Tesco: £1361.19, Vanquis: £2644.73, Very: £563.08, Next: £1636.95, M&S: £1049.92. As of 5th February 2024. Slava Ukraini0

Hi Bagpuss - only show in the DebtPot things you are intending to pay off, rather than things you may continue to spend on. Only keep in there debt to be knocked down.
If there's the Next account that you plan to keep using best not to include it. BUT if you want to keep it still, in the cell that relates to the month, put +50.00 for example to add a £50 spend (or whatever the figure is).MFW #185

Hi Amberamber80, unfortunately this is an Excel spreadsheet - Excel is part of Microsoft Office. Try searching on Google for OpenOffice, you can download the 'Excel' equivalent for free, and my Budget will then open for you xMFW #185
