skim = non-fat = skimmed. They are all the same thing.

I'm trying to think of what UHT would be...it's not very common. I think it's usually called "long life". Oh and all milk is Vit D fortified in the USA - is that the same as here?

that's interesting twinkle, I was getting her to boil the lemons so the pith/skin/zest would be easier to whizz in the FP.

But if that is a lossy way (although we're keeping all the boiling liquid, so isn't that restorative of lost vits?) then I can rethink.

Basically, you tell me what is nutritionally sound and I'll make the cooking method fit that where poss :)

Couldn't you use the peel to make candied peel for the cakes?

Some goes in the "pumpkin" pie too.

Pumpkin pie is Kitty's recipe though, Shirl does not have that.

I remember quite clearly that BNS was supposed to be served as a side veg with one of the roasts - hence the 320g not accounted for (80g per person). What happened then is that Weezl was distracted with this real life malarkey so the actual roast recipe was not finalised until we were just about to have it, which is why it got overlooked I expect !
