I can confirm the allergy thing too - I'm allergic to raw tomatoes
:( ... cooked ones are fine thank goodness! :j I miss raw cherry tomatoes though... *sob*
I'm allergic to raw hazelnuts and raw almonds. But I never would have known if I hadn't eaten them because OH claimed he was having an allergic reaction and I didn't believe him so it's not really a hardship.

  • Anyone know where all the 800g of butternut squash is going?

    I've found 1xbutternut squash risotto (160g) and 2xspanish omlette (2x160g).

Which is leaving 400g of squash loitering around.

Good question, Twinkle ! I think it was supposed to be a side vegetable with one of the "roasts" ?

Can I recommend carrot jam if we are looking at how to use more vitamins. It is delish, much cheaper than fruit jam and looks very nice on a slice of bread! I would have thought it would preserve (see what I did there?) more of the nutrients than boiling carrots and it might be possible to make a carrot chutney/relish thing if we can do an alternative veggie swap or have any spare.

That is probably singularly unhelpful as you are discussing other things, sorry.
I mentioned the site to my Dad, he may pop on at some point, he is very efficient and clever so I hope he does :D
