  • Meant to say yesterday, I would like to see the 50p planner included on the site. It was such an interesting piece of work and I would love to see it recorded for posterity and available to a wider audience.

I am in the group who is fortunate in not having to economise on food to this level at the moment, and dont feel that I want to make a commitment to a plan like this to make savings for other things either. I like some of the more expensive things that we choose to eat and at the moment am making the decision to keep eating them. We fall into the group that pick and mix from the plan ( as we did from the 50p thread). No one seems to notice it's an economical meal, they just enjoy all the yummy food.

The plans provide new and yummy meals for us and make significant savings, even though we only eat 2 or 3 a week. The whole process has certainly made me think a lot more about the nutrition in our food. We certainly eat more fibre now ( and people have noticed the benefit), we eat more canola for the omegas rather than olive oil (at a huge saving), I previouslly had been persuaded by the media that olive was healthier. I also fret less about the kids and fresh fruit as I know I am stuffing all kinds of good things into them without them noticing.

I really must make carrot cake this week, I think I am only person on the planet hasn't made it LOL.
Eat food, not edible food-like items. Mostly plants.

    thank you QOS :)

I do hope I haven't made anyone feel they need to justify eating more expensive foods.

I had a lovely piece of brie for my tea :D

OOOO, I like that site. And Im only doing Vit C! You see, Ive never looked at this myself, but just 4 items down the shopping list Im gobsmacked already!

Um, Weezl. when Im done, how do I return the results to you?
I copied the shopping list to excel and added a column titled "Vitamin C mg/100g" and one titled "Preparation" to indicate the likes of "with skin or peel" for the fruit for example.

Think Im good on that front ;) Took us two years to get this one to stick... ask me ANYTHING about the reproductive system and food/supplements and I have the answer-if not, I have a very large group of ttc friends who are still trying using all kinds of methods-one of them will have an answer.

How the heck do you search for these blooming dried peas! Ive never heard of them before.

I'm so sorry I've just noticed my typo in this earlier post. I meant (of course) to write:... shanks is so pretty it's scary... :)

in the hardcore planner, would I be allowed to stipulate drinking a certain amount of tap water and then making up some of shirley's essential minerals from that source?
