I honestly do not know where the impression comes from - as I've been around pretty much from the start, I know it's anything but, and it took me a while to twig that people were not seeing this !

I guess it's just ignorance (and I do not mean that in a bad way). I guess I mean that many of the people with Old Style background meal plan on a regular basis, and will probably figure that this, posh website aside, is no different to them sitting down with a pen and writing pad and knocking up a month's worth of meal ideas in advance. And those who do not meal plan might think it even easier than that, simply because never having tried, they do not quite realise the challenges of producing somethin nommy from a box of marrowfats, packet of ready brek and some bacon trimmings.

So when they look at the planner all they will see is lard and lack of five pieces of fresh fruit each day. Add in all the nutritional info and they might start seeing it a bit more clearly !
  • Blimey, just gotten to the end of your epic skype discussion!! Very interesting stuff :)

I'd like to be able to join in next time but am completely clueless about technology and have no idea what I'd need to do. Do I just need to download skype?

Yes, that's all you need to do :) Then you just find Weezl and she adds you to the conversation, and then you can see all that goes on from then on.

I'm off in the kitchen now - bread, more doughnuts and potato salad for tonight ! I can barely wait for 6 o'clock and Dr Who.... :D

am doing Tomato Cobbler from The Big Red Book Of Tomatoes tonight, with broccoli and carrots. If it was peas instead of broccoli, it would be 50p a head.

will let you know if it is nommy or not

so much sport/telly, so little time!

Grand Prix, Footie, Wimbledon, and Dr Who as well

good job I was painting the village hall earlier otherwise my bottom would be completely square by now

might do some weeding later on when it's cool, much too hot at the moment

rocket is sprouting like mad and is an absolute forest, having a salad of rocket and lettuce most days now, and giving away loads. Got loads of radish and mizuna coming on, 10 small basil plants have gone in the garden from pots, and I am trying again with the coriander. The first lot were puny and went straight to seed

had basil (from the garden) pesto with pasta last night - your recipe Weezl, it was very nommy

    Hi guys

Im back and very grumpy, bus issues and hotness grrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr.

Mr arty's out all evening so I can help/advise/discuss/chat with anyone who wishes me to do so. Maybe nothing heavy though??

I thought last nights chat went really well, loads of great ideas and we managed to keep on topic relatively easily.

    xx
