    Evening all

I've been lurking this week, but trying to keep up. I'm not very technical sorry so can't join in the skype chat or help with the website, i'm usually the one that make the teas and coffees and washes the dishes, but thats not much help here is it :o

I've had a hectic week so its been a struggle following the plan, think I would have been ok if i'd have managed to batch cook everything so I need to look at that. Regarding weight loss, i'm obese, but i'm sure I would lose weight following the plan because I wouldn't be buying the rubbish to snack on. I have to be honest here I give myself the same portion sizes as hubby and never even thought about it

Did I read there was going to be forum on the website? I really feel I could do with a buddy for support until I get into the swing of it, I think a chatting place to talk with others starting out on it would be a big help x

Skills- willingness to try pretty much any recipe, good at making up random recipes and working out how to change them to taste better, excellent proof-reader (good at spotting mistakes in spelling and grammar though currently without an apostrophe key), generally fairly silly and laid back so not good at doing things on time but good at encouraging people and having fun ideas, fairly good with using words, creative... Hmm, this is hard. I am not good at things requiring detail or routine!

Zippy i found the skype thing really easy to do and i have no technical background and the best i can do computer wise is copy and paste. So if i can do it then i think you should manage. However i understand if you dont fancy trying it. Give us a shout if you want any help and the more technically advanced should be able to talk you through it. xx

No we are just using it for IM if you go into google and type in skype then press download its just a case of filling in some details and you are basically ready to go. It took me about 10 mins to do. If you use ur MSE name it will be easier for us to find you as i found it weird speaking to all the people from here and always translating their real names to the ones i was used to.

So here it is mark 2... not sure if it will make any sense or be as good as the first version... Here goes ;)

Potty someone in the survey lost 150g of sugar didn't they?
Yes ... sugar was reduced to 200g....
However the same person reduce oil to 300ml... the recipe now states 200ml... so the survey results may now be out of date :)

*whispers* It's a bit scary because you're asking us to say what we think we're good at.

I originally said , same here...
But to be fair, I am quite good at lots of things... that are not connected with this thread "yet" ;)

I am good at making wine. (I am actually quite good at drinking wine ;))

I am good at making cake. (I am actually quite good at eating cake :()

I am good at seeing the bright side of a dark subject, and making people laugh, accordingly.

I am good at dealing with difficult people on the phone.
Allegra... I think I/You are alter ego's regarding this last one... as you put everything so very eloquently with the written word, and I know I am quite pants at this... but am very good on the spot at the phone conversations :o ... Which incidentally, I still have to prove myself on, with the calcium debate :D (coming soon Weezl - honest :D)
Doh! Caught out trying to do a flounce! OK, I'll try to explain why I feel the way I do, and stay around. To be fair, it was more that I've only contributed minimally so far anyway, and don't want to cause another (insert noun here)-Gate, and spoil the hard work this has taken for everyone.

Amber... this is a very lively thread, and debate has always been a part of its core workings.... .
I think "unpronounceable"- gate will be welcomed, this makes us all move forward, to a place where we are all comfortable being.
But it has to be "discussed"...
No point in saying something, then !!!!!!ing off.
There will be persons who agree with you...
My opinion of this site, is that of a democracy...
Please dont let your voice, go unheard :)

    Hi *zippy*
You may have actually touched on a very good point there zippy....
I am not sure if there is going to be a forum...
Weezl, would, should be able to answer that...

However a "buddy system" Hmmmmm

    Weezl, :o
    What doyareckon ?
    Anybody ?
    Is it a goer ? :D

PS... I would gladly volunteer to help with it :D

buddy system certainly sounds like an interesting idea. A bit of live handholding for shirley whether online or on phone (eeek I hate phones). Jamie used a buddy system for his ministry of food project and that seemed to work quite well.

You can do it when he's sleeping. Or have him in the highchair with some toys watching you.
