all joking aside, someone on another forum did lay into the planner for lack of variety at lunches based on the descriptors on the planners table :(

so I need something with as few characters as 'bean pate sandwiches' or ideally fewer characters but which is said 5 different ways IYSWIM?

I did a quick google... and found that a veggie pate is based on mushrooms, tofu, nuts, or beans... surely chickpeas could constitute beans ;)

BTW, did I ever tell you what the word for "chickpea" is in the dialect of the Dalmatian region of Croatia ? It's "bob". I kid you not.

So, if we dispense with "houmus" and call it instead "chickpea dip" in the same dialect, the titles would be as follows:

    1. Houmus - Bob
    2. Tomato houmus - Pomidori Bob
    3. Red pepper houmus - Paprikaner Bob
    4. Onion houmus - Kapula Bob

On a more serious note, how's about:

    Houmus sandwiches
    Tomato dip sandwiches
    Pepper dip sandwiches
    Onion dip sandwiches.

    Dip, pate, spread, sandwich filler/topper
Or maybe a variation of the above...

    Houmous sandwiches
    Tomato spread sandwiches
    Pepper pate sandwiches
    Oniony dip sandwich filler

I dont know if this helps any :o

(You see this is what happens when I get up before 9am, thinking occurs )

    The opposite happens to me...
I was up at 5am this morning, and cant string a thought process together before 11am :o

Could you not make the whole recipe, and freeze what you dont need right away, in small pots, or silicon muffin tray ?

quick question, I pulverised my oniony bits into the houmous, but I know you did without the FP how diddy did you have to chop your oniony bits so they dispersed easily into that amount of houmous?

I had chunks of onion, about 1/2cm cubed, it added a lovely crunch :)

Freezer issues...i.e there is no room! I'm just going to make the right amount and demand mr arty eats loads of it:)

just a real quick post. I'm still catching up and have over 70 pages to go but I thought I'd contribute a quick idea for shirl's recipes.

Whilst I was in Italy we regularly ate a delicious pizza that had no cheese on it. It was just base, tom sauce, oregano and thinly sliced garlic. I wondered if this might fit into one of the plans as it could be frugal and it's definitely very yummy.

I have liked the facebook group and commented on the discussions. You've all been so busy and you've done a smashing job.
