probably a dumb offer but if there's anything I can do?

(yes weezl, because many business problems can be helped with pretty pie photography!:o:))

that's a kind offer, and I appreciate the thought. I don't think anyone else can help, unless you know some burly types I can send to Newcastle to sort some people aht?

LOL we used to live in N'castle and as southern softies, my mum and dad were often warned to 'head off home now, pet' by the bejewelled and peroxided pub landlady, later to see their local on the news as the scene of some violent incident :)

Fergie and Kessie will be very burly in about 18 years?

I'm hoping I will have solved it by then, if not, I may give you a call :)

well it serves me right for fussing when you're doing a fab job!

would you mind keeping a mini list of username/real initials/permission

    ie weezl74/LW/yes

    rainbow(r.a.i.n.b.o.w) / TAG or TG / yes

(ignore me if this isn't what you were looking for - my cat is trying to groom my underarm as I type and read, and it's distracting me!)

Hi again, :)so would it be best to say 'up to 700ml water' and add 'and drained' after saying the lentils have been soaked?

That sounds good. Better to make it absolutely clear rather than have Kitty left with a dish of thick and tasty soup when she thought she was making a pie. Actually, since my son has the proverbial hollow legs, I tripled the pie quantities in the hope that there would a meal's worth for the 2 of us left. There was :).

I also mashed the potatoes as I thought they would keep better in the oven as some people were coming on from somewhere else and weren't quite sure what time they would arrive.

Off to WI now. We have a talk on Darwin in preparation for a visit to Down House in July, hopefully he'll be a good speaker, last few have been dire!

Am taking a carrot cake for the tea afterwards, the fame spreads

WI - not nearly as cool as arty and the IoW festival :)

    see you all later

Thanks rainbow. This was specifically about quoting from the batch cooking tips thread on OS & I don't think you are on there? Or are you giving Weezl carte blanche to quote anything you say? :)

Weezl, greenbee is happy to be quoted & not bothered about being credited. Said if want to just use initials GB (Hampshire). Winged one is also happy to be quoted, G.O'C (Ireland)
