Are you ok after horrid phone call? xxx
yes, tom is the Thurs I mean
horrid phone call was to do with our business. Large expenses keep landing on us, very little we can do to stop it, and it keeps happening. Been happening for a long time now, fast as I try to find a solution, other things happen.
When a new one arrives I get scared, feel vulnerable and all sorts of other negative stuff. Parts of the business are fine, this part is ghastly0 -
really sorry to hear that Lesley
Sounds a horribly out of control place to be which is very difficult.
If anyone is resourceful enough to knock it on the head it's you

thanks, I hope so. Been worrying away at it for several years now and simply have to solve it. Our situation would be much better once I have0 -

Hi. I'm back after a break for half term and have now caught up on the posts. You've all been very busy!
I tried the Shepherdless Pie out on a vegetarian friend and some of my family came as well. It ended up with 7 of us for the meal. They all loved the pie especially my 10 month old grandson who had seconds and took some home in a tub for his lunch next day.
My only problem was that I was unsure whether the recipe meant to soak the lentils overnight in the water stated and then use that liquid in the recipe - OR to use the soaked lentils (drained) and then add fresh water to the amount stated which would have been far too sloppy. Maybe you could just tweak the wording to make this clear, please. I did the second option and decided in the nick of time not to use all the water.....
Anyway, they all loved it and this will definitely be appearing on our menu again.0 -
Have made the Red Pepper Houmous this morning for my lunch and it is delicous (have been longing for lunchtime to come around since 9am!)
Weezl, can I just ask what might be a very obvious and silly question but you know how many of the lunches on the planners consist of a pate/houmous sandwich, can the families have this on toast instead? Or does it have to be just a sandwich? (Sorry if this was asked long ago but I have been wondering for ages!).Money paid out from Topcashback so far= £105.89 :j

thanks sallygirl, I will tweak accordingly
Did you double up the quantities to feed that many?
Hayley, toast is absolutely fineI think people said early on it should be assuming packed lunches hence the sandwich heaviness!

aless, m'dear?
As you're already in touch with SS re dates for IWM, any chance you'd fancy being our social secretary with special responsibility for narrowing down a date that lots of us can do London?
Feel free to say no if you're busy
