    Thanks Taka, that's helpful :)

No these ^^^^^ are the small potatoes (I get the same price as you for them).

The ones at 94p/2.5kg are called Smartprice potatoes (in the picture they look like they need washing). They are on mysupermarket at the this price and also on the ASDA website with no postcode info in either site.

The baking potatoes are normal ASDA ones (NOT smartprice). £1/2.5kg

oh poo, you're right. It looks at the total ingred bought, not used

    current deficit 22103

must go and cook dinner now

just had a horrible tel call, feeling completely stressed out

Ah, yes! Fab, thank you :D

So, are you saying go with these?

And maybe top up the cals with more nuts?

Can I just check if that's cos people were uncomfortable with the chips idea or purely on price point?

Like the idea of frozen oven chips for a couple of meals. The children would like them. If not frozen, perhaps Kitty could make her own oven chips as a change from wedges if there are enough potaoes and oil in the planner.

I don't mind either way really! I just couldn't fit kilos of chips in my freezer along with everything else! :rotfl: If we can make our own cheaper, great but if not oven chips are ok!

    ((((hugs lesley))))

Gahhhh... got to go ... timepoint in 5 mins and 2.5hrs of work still to go before I can go home! :(

Lesley: info from jar of asda sundried toms:values drained per 100g
    energy 186cal protein 4.1 carb 8.5 fat 15.1 of which saturates 1.7

do you want fibre and sodium?

eta, it doesn't give the undrained values but it looks like that would be entirely sunflower oil :)

any idea how much the drained weight of the toms is? Then I can subtract that from the total weight of the jar, and work out how much oil there is

thanks for the hugs, I need them at the mo
