I'm sorry it was just my reaction to people who've judged the site harshly.

Sometimes I wish our work/income seasonality was your way round so we had the extra spare time in the summer.

It's certainly a huge bonus for me - DD is of the age and temperament where she can not be really left alone for long periods yet, but all childcare available is not suitable for her. Yes, I do have my incom cut in summer - but at least I do not have to pay for childcare any longer. It was horrible when I had a more regular job - childcare over the summer usually ended up costing more than what I was getting while being at work, and the stress was insupportable.

  • Hi everyone,

it was me that asked for point 10 Weezl ( indexing) I think, and the sub heading you have added on the cooking page covers what I had requested thanks.

I am one of those people who are currently choosing to use the plan. I got myself debt free some time back and was overpaying a little on my mortgage. Unfortunately OH hadn't reached the same point. Since I have been here, we have been working on getting back to the same position, but now his divorce is about to go through and, to preserve his pension and keep us safe when we are old, we have big payments to make. So we're soon to be looking at paying off some big bills and debts. I detest being in debt. We will pick and mix on the website meals, but I know that for every meal we eat of the planner I save about $5 on a " normal" meal and that's $5 towards payments. Even when things are back to normal, we will keep eating some of the meals because they're nom and to save cash.

I also know that one of my FB friend's daughters made the carrot cake and loved it ( I have no idea if she needed to). Having a fabby looking website makes it more accessable for all the Shirleys ( and FB friend's daughters) I think. I suspect that many people who end up with money problems they need to address feel a degree of shame or failure. Having the website that helps them look good, I think, is helpful. If that means non desparate people use it too then great, it's not a ghetto for people who need to economise, it's a lovely resource for everyone.

edit just went to look on the PT and realised she has had whooping cough! So sorry! :(
She still has it. It's worse than when she was a newborn baby. It could last another two months.

I think "regular" people who don't "need" to use it is also a good way for people who do need it to find out about it because the more people who use it, the more who will find out. And if loads of people are using it regardless of "need" then there is no stigma attached to it.

I was in Asda this morning and they still had the white bread flour at 61p - that would account for £2.60 of the price difference. Plus the rice seems awfully expensive - last time I bought it it was 73p per kg - has it really gone up by that much ? Or is Kitty not having SP ?

ETA: do you want me to try for the missing items, as with a different postcode it might be a different result, if items are out of stock in Arty's area ?
