Why didn't I think of that... I pass a Lidl twice a day! *slaps forehead* :rotfl:
they were £1.49 a jar when I last bought some in there. I tend to use the juice in soups, gives it a lovely tang. I generally use about half of the juice to a 4 person batch of soup, any more and it would be too strong0 -
Question... Why when you order the recipe table by diet does the veggie burger sit with the meat stuff rather than the vegan items (despite saying vegan)?
I presume the newer "vegan recipes being tested" will be added fully to the recipe table -currently they don't show up when you order the table by diet etc.
the second point is being hotly debated between me and my dad. I'm a bit reluctant to include them at the testing phase in the main table, for loads of reasons I won't bore you with!
Why what were you thinking about that, does it need an explanation of why they disappear, is that what you mean?

the red bit is a vestige of when we were frying the veggie burger in lard, and we've not had time to rewrite the table so it stacks properly (green/white/green/white IYSWIM?) but we're planning on doing it with the next big rollout of changes which is planned for friday

Have made a tomato sauce to go with, and DH has requested Election Special roast potatoes as well, he would have them every day I think given a chance. Will do some veg as well. Still have a few leeks in the garden, beg to grow flower stalks, so I'll use a couple of those and some carrots
This is where I tried the nut roast Weezl.
I really liked it, 9 out of 10 for me, OH thought it had too many breadcrumbs, but then he doesn't like breadcrumbs! It's on my menu plan for June, and I'll ask OH how to tweak it and report back.
I tried some spicy bean burgers this week which were lovely. Had them first with purple sprouting which needed using, mash and HM tom sauce left over from pizza, then the next day with oven wedges and coleslaw. OH had his in a wrap as well as the wedges. With wedges and coleslaw it comes out to 40p/587 cals. Haven't tried the planner veggie burgers yet, no real reason why, will do those next time.
We are having the planner lasagna tonight, with some coleslaw. I know we batch cook to reduce fuel usage, but what are other people doing about re-heating stuff from the freezer? I have this lasgana to re-heat now and I will be using the oven just for the one thing0 -
Were you meaning having the 5 a day listed in the recipe table? I'm not sure it would be best suited there... (presumably why you're a bit hesitant about it?)
If you do decide to put the portion info somewhere I'd put it with each appropriate recipe with any nutritional info you add about the recipe eg cals, protein etc (if they are something you plan to add at some point).Any question, comment or opinion is not intended to be criticism of anyone else.2 Samuel 12:23 Romans 8:28 Psalm 30:5
