I'm on 800x600 (no laughing at the back there! :D ) and love the green (nuts?) background, makes me think of "fresh" and "healthy".

Definitely DON'T go for red, red is DANGER! and FIRE! and such other warnings, you want Shirley to feel 'at home' rather than 'run for your life!'.

    awww 800 x 600, that's so cute rainbow:D

are you having to do mega amounts of scrolling to see everything?

they are pumpkin seeds BTW, for shirley's omega 3 :)

rainbow, absolutely agree about the alt text. From previous experience I know it's a lengthy task tho, so I've been holding off.

Red cake is the red pepper tart- one of the new vegan recipes.

Knew I had read something about this somewhere :)

Though are we trying to make people feel hungry or empowered, not sure what colour is for empowerment...

    Interesting Sian

We should think, what images makes us want to cook/eat something?

Luckily we have Weezl's superb photography so that's good!!!

Fair enough about red, I do like the green I personally just think we may need a bit more excitement about the site?? But I'm just not sure about how to do that?

I think the banner needs more "YUM! Let me make that and save money!" factor. I have no ideas how, at the mo...it's just a bit bland, especially if you had no idea what "garlic" actually looks like in it's raw state.

My hubby just walked past, I told him what I'd written, and he said (about the banner): "It needs to be plain colours, no picture, just stick to something like orange and green".

Hope some of this helps! :A

Weezl I dont think the front page is 'selling it' you need BIG letters saying feed your family for £100 a month as thats the selling point.

I feel we are all tearing into your lovely site though, I'm ever so sorry:(

I don't have to scroll AT ALL on your webby. Ooh, unless that little "WHY?" java box pops up, but that's no prob, I know that I should be on a higher res so I don't complain :o

I'm gonna have to give that a bash - I'm not keen on peppers but that looks DEELISH.

(NP about the alt text, just something that popped into my head as I navigated (and tried to see what that red 'cake' was lol) and thought I'd better say something *just in case* :) )

So if instead of 'welcome, it said that? How would that be?

Please don't be sorry, it's a nice site now and we're making it better, I'm not taking any of this to mean it's been rubbish!:)
