    Morning,
I weighed myself this morning  in readiness of the plan. It will be interesting to see if I lose much weight.

weezl I think I'm going to give people the choice as far as breakfasts and lunches go. Obviously up until the point that we run out of stuff ;).

I thought if I made a portion a week of each toast topper/sandwich filler, then people can choose until a particular one runs out.

I'm hoping that the same choice can be made between toast and porridge? How many portions of each do we have, do you know?

And again with the snacks. I make a batch (or half a batch) of each a week and then people can choose.

How does that sound to you? I don't want to mess up your plan, so please do say if you'd like me to stick to the 'purist version'

poohbear I don't think mine ave noticed the lack of butter/spread yet. I fully expect a slight uprising when they do...though I do have a small amount of each left..

    hiya,

we have 16 days worth of the porridge using the amounts at the usual :)

    toast wise, we have heaps!

It's the toppings that are more frugal.

you might need to try what a portion is yourself and then show the others just in case they're used to having really thick amounts of spread on stuff.

I'm guessing that today is porridge though?

    xxx

ps in case it's not- per meal each person can have 25g nut butter (but really for best omega 3 I'd be spacing this out more in the month)or 27g per person per meal of the apple curd or 20g of the orange flimflam :)

lunches wise 10g hummus per person per meal :)

anything else you might need to know portions of?

weezl Today on the planner is porridge, but as it's holidays, I'm missing a couple of children, DH is on a course and my eldest is sleeping in, so I've yet to decide whether to go ahead or just have toast cause I will have some stocks left cause less people. Does that make sense?

My family is a bit interesting in that 2 of my children aren't big breakfast eaters and my son isn't a big lunch eater. My eldest DD can be a bit interesting where food is concerned. It was so much easier when they were younger.

I also still have 'normal food' (as in off plan) around. Does anyone else have this and if you do, what are you doing about it?

Is it wrong to get people to eat that stuff first, even if it means breakfast and lunches might be a bit skewed for a while? weezl?

Morning all like Frankie i have also weighed myself in preparation for the planner. Just had the porridge for breakfast and it was really tasty and simple to make. As i was making for just myself i have now measured the ingreds using a big spoon so i dont have to get out the scales every morning.
My ex didnt notice the lack of spread but did notice the lard and looked at me funny saying "why did you get this" My answer?"Cause Weezl told me to" he just sighed ant that was the end of conversation:rotfl:
Yes Frankie i also have some normal stuff in to placate ex as there are a few things on planner he wont touch but as he is in this by default and not complained about trying "that crazy welsh womans stuff" i thought it best to have a back up. Mine is in the freezer and if and when the meal that he wont eat comes round will take out his and cook separately.

hiya frankie, I tried to make the spreads a bit smoother and runnier so people would be able to spread them more easily. Have they gone a bit too thick? I'm wondering what the uprising is about really and just trying to get my head around how to accomodate it best! :)

I don't think it's fair on you frankie to let good food you've already bought go to waste. I don't expect anyone to do that for me. HTH xxx

Frankie for a 1 person portion it only took about 4 mins and yes i did it on the hob. You need to watch it as it can get thick very quickly and stick to bottom of pan so i had some water ready just to add it. I had mine about the consistency of custard found it quite filling and i have a good appetite.
Heading out for about an hour and will be back xx
