Weezl couple of queries on the Nut Roast Recipe.

First line of ingredients reads Oven: Pre-heat oven to gas mark 5 tablespoon of oil for frying. Would it look better with a full stop after 5 and a T for tablespoon (not sure if this has already been posted)

Also says 100ml liquid from the jar of sweet red peppers. Would it be better to change the to a as it makes it look as if there should be sweet red peppers in the recipe.

    Hope this makes sense

Like the option of wine vinegar or balsamic vinegar

cheap family recipes, low cost meals and eat for less were the 3 search terms we were hoping to attract traffic from, although I also think 'budget meals' is good. So any of them really, or another search term you feel is helpful :)
The first three have a combined global monthly search volume of 5300 so are probably good initial targets. Budget meals is a bigger one so harder to get on the first page of results but worth aiming for in the longer run as it has a global monthly search volume of 40 500.
    Also:
    budget family meals: 14 800
    inexpensive meals: 6 600
    cheap dinner recipes: 12 100
    might be worth targetting.

Queen of string (I noticed the site has a canadian visitor so I'm guessing you're still around :))

When you made your breadsticks, did you put marmite on the top or in the dough?

    xxx

I made marmite pastry sticks before, and just watered down the marmite slightly and brushed it onto the top of the sticks (the pastry, was premade shop bought, that was reduced to 10p a pack... so I dont have recipe :o)

Potty, thanks heaps for the offer of helping with the tin sizes, that's been deflating me a bit! How do you suggest we go about that task?

    I'm very grateful :D

I'm also noticing I'm getting less time to be welcoming to newcomers, but you are always so friendly and good at explaining what we're up to, so I'd love it if you could carry on doing that, because we need new testers to rapidly be a part of things :)

    Whaddyareckon?

I think as long as the recipe states what size tin/pan/spoon/bowl ect ect you have used, it should be easy enough to make up an alternative piece of equipment list... thats if I have understood you correctly :o ... I think :o.... although, it may not be my strong point, I can certainly have a go :)

Many people who follow and post on this thread are very helpful to all newcomers/lurkers :) , and I can certainly welcome or point new testers in the right direction, if not already done so by someone else, when I am around :)

I have just been looking at the recipes...

The thing that hits me, as requiring sizes of equipment are as follows.
    • Chicken and onion pie
    • Bacon and onion pudding
    • Carrot cake
    • Homemade bread
    • Onion tart tatin
    • Tomato and olive pudding
    • Red pepper tart
    • Shepherdless pie
I think if you have a basic guide, but add a disclaimer...
    Something like,
"I used a 17cm / 7in pudding basin for this recipe, but you could use steam proof bowl or jug, that has a similar diameter, but is at least 13cm / 5in deep"
I am not sure if this helps or not :o

I think I need some sleep, as my head is pounding, and I cant seem to think of an alternative to this at the moment :o
