weezl, pumpkin pie!! A girl after my own heart!!

(you say "pumpkin pie" to most Brits and they run a mile. It's one of my very favorite things EVER, though I'm very un-OS and use tinned pumpkin with tinned condensed milk! :o)

I go back to the work in very early October (I think...haven't worked it out exactly yet) so a meet before then would be grand.

arty, oh dear what a day! you deserve that glass of wine for sure.

haven't been eating many weezl meals in the past few days, so haven't been commenting much, sorry. Tomorrow's another off-plan (spinach & lentil soup, so still very MSE :)) but then we're back to several in a row after that. Need to make more bread soon, so hoping you get the piccies of the bread up soon as I may brave 1 more attempt before giving up on it completely :rotfl:

Dinner plans went a bit awry this evening as DH had car troubles on the way home from work, had to call the RAC, didn't get in until almost 9pm - and brought fish and chips with him!
Hope to be back on course tomorrow, and looking forward to trying the bean curry. Yesterday's bread was good. A much heavier texture than shop bread, and therefore much more filling. It was a bit tricky to cut, but that might be down to my bread knife. I have an electric one somewhere, maybe I'll use that next time.
We watched this week's Dr Who tonight ( a bit behind I know), and I just think now of Arty whenever Amelia appears :)

  • Hi all - Just wanted to say have been following this thread from the beginning but not posting.

We had the pizzas for dinner tonight and they are amazing!. I made half a batch, which did us as we are a family of 6. Did cheat a bit cos kids are used to toppings on their pizza, so used up a couple of chicken thighs (hot counter reduced to pennies!), sweetcorn and mushrooms(all value!)

I would be interested in being a tester for planner 2 or 3 - DD1 is vege so would mainly be me and her most nights id that was ok - the others wouldn't cope!!

Hoping to stick to the challenge this year!!

Meant to say earlier - Potty, you are a cook after my own heart :rotfl: I behaved myself in the kitchen tonight though, followed the instructions correctly and had a very pleasant and sufficiently filling meal as a reward for my good behaviour !
My dad says that I can read anything except a recipe :o:rotfl::rotfl:
But I do read the recipe ....honest
Sometimes I just forget to recheck the quantities :o

The reason we have not included the cost of seasonings in our £100/month planner is because the £100 is designed to cover a 31-day month. Since not all months have 31 days, this leaves a remainder of approximately £22.40 over the course of 1 year, which more than pays for the seasonings being used in the planner's recipes.
That sounds good to me :T

I just ask silly questions but once I am a great cook thanks to you lot I will not ask silly questions any more!!!xxxxxxxx

Questioning, shows interaction, and interest ;)
The only silly question, is the one you DIDN'T ask ;)

Lovin the pumpkin pie recipe :D
I LOVE pumpkin pie .... I even froze some HM solid pack pumpkin at Halloween last year ;)
Aless, where do you get your canned pumpkin ??

I haven't gotten round to making the tomato and lentil pudding yet :o:(
Life/work has kinda got in the way. Hopefully, I will be able to test it next week sometime :)

    Ok, bedtime for me now.

    Hi:wave:

Can I just say that I'm amazed at how much your all putting into this, even getting down to nitty gritty such as these.

I know I'm just a lil' lurker, but I just wanted to say that I think this explains it wonderfully (not that I didn't understand your version Weezl). I read this thread every day (it has a permanent tab on my browser so I never lose my place) and I wish so much that I could be more involved but my OH is not liking what I'm telling him about some of the meals, though I think I could probably work some of the vegi/vegan meals in more than the meaty ones (weird huh?), will do some investigating...

    hi ashia :)

Sorry DH doesn't like the sound of some of the meals, but glad the veggie and vegan ones appeal a bit more, I look forward to hearing your thoughts :D
