Hellooooooooo OSers!
Happy bank holiday Monday! Another late start chez nous, although I'm up and at it now!
Coco is a veggie fan. She stole a potato out of the kitchen on Saturday and proceeded to eat the whole thing. Then had an apple when I was making the dinner, and this morning had a tin of sardines for breakfast, and a carrot, which she loved! Soo funny watching her eat it! My wee veggie dog. Well, not really as she's having tripe for dinner, but good to know she will eat her veg too.
Today I am tackling more of the scary paperwork. OH is doing the ironing, he just doesn't know it yet! Raining cats and dogs here. We had a lovely day yesterday, the sun was shining all day and we had a fab Egg Hunt at gran's house with DSIL and DNeice, with whom I am falling more in love every day. She is just the cutest wee girl ever. Don't think I'll be doing much OS, but I'll be busy so that sort of counts, doesn't it?
Have a lovely day, hugs to the poorlies and worried, and missing. Sympathy to those in pain.

Good afternoon, everyone, and happy Easter Monday to you all! I'm a bit later than usual as I've only just a) sat down, and b) felt well enough to. I had another extremely broken night's sleep due to coughing and when I eventually dropped off I didn't wake up until gone 9! It has taken me that long (and a trip to Mr T) to get back to a state of "I feel ready to do things now". If that makes sense.
I've spent the morning watching Ashes to Ashes on iPlayer as I forgot to put it in the planner, and looking through recipe books to find ones I want to keep before chucking out some more cookbooks. I'm surprised; I have loads of cookbooks, but I've given no end away as I simply don't use them. As for later today, I have a little bit of ironing to do and beyond that, just relaxing.
Anyway, said ironing is calling me, and I can at least enjoy the British Superbikes while doing it. Tea tonight will be black bean pork with noodles that we were supposed to have yesterday but didn't as we were invited out. Have a lovely day, everyone. (((hugs))) to those that need one.
Take care,

Thanks for all the mentions re the accicdent, still no news so will start chasing things tomorrow morning.
Late post from me as did get up early this morning (honest) & took DD to North Weald market, wasn't that impressed to be truthful and was sooo cold over there. Good though as didn't spend too much money. Home now, had lunch and about to spend a couple of hours in the officenot nice but necessary, especially as will be out tomorrow morning.
House is still clean and tidy & only a couple of things in the ironing basket :j have chilli tacho's for dinner tonight - DD has been asking for them for ages.
Going to put the kettle on now, make a strong coffee and get on, enjoy the rest of your Bank Holiday.x0 -
Good Afternoon Everyone,
Cold, wet and rainy again in Manchester. Went to work with DH this morning. He has worked the bank holidays so have kept him company.
Lovely lunch yesterday. Roast pork with all the trimmings and then baked lemon cheesecake with cream for dessert. Just can't think of anything to make today. Waiting for inspiration to strike:D
Uolypool Welcome, the people on here are lovely and it does become addictive:)
Bitsy ooh that sounds really sore. Hope they feel better soon
DH is outside in the garden battling the wind and rain. He is adjusting his new water feature:rotfl:honestly he is like Michael Angelo and the cistene chapel:eek: I am sure it will be beautiful when he finishes!
DD has had a phone call for SIL saying he misses her. They are going out to talk this evening. Your guess is as good as mne. I just hope he is not messing her about:mad: Anyway DGS will stay with us.
Back at work next Monday and stressing as I have been off such a long time. I know rationally it will be ok, but have massive butterflies:o
Off to read my Sally Morgan book. Its a bit spooky but very interesting. Have a good day:wave:Started Self Managed DMP 10th May 2017.

Hi again,
Wel I think I earned my OS wings this morning. I made bread for the very first time. It turned out pretty well but I had to get OH to help with the kneading. I think I will have to get a mixer with a dough hook to help with the kneading, my hands and arms won't take it.
Hillstep, I've been living with my kitchen for about 15 months and while most things are in the right place I just wanted to fine tune a few cupboards and have general tidy.
Just off to make some mocha squares for DS. Gammon, mash and veg for dinner tonight.0 -
Hope everyone is having a nice Easter. It has dragged a bit for me as DH has been working, but is off today,so we're going to have roast chicken for tea.We are going to the theatre tonight so looking forward to that.
Just nipped up to Sainsbugs, loads of yellow stickers so I've bought a few things to put in the freezer for DSons.I decided yesterday I am stopping catering for them at the weekend,as they end up ringing up at the last minute saying they are stopping out,and they'll have it later.Well DS1s tea is still plated up in the fridge, don't think he fancied it when they finally rolled in at 5.30 this morning :rotfl:
Edited to say -Good wishes for your op tomorrow Diva.Hope all goes well x
Sistercas- I am still missing 2 boxes of Celebrations that I 'hid' at Christmas.I'd begun to think I'd dreamed getting them till I found the Tesco online receipt and they were on
Well, better get the chicken in as we're out fairly early tonight.Hugs to all.x:heartsmil 'A woman is like a teabag: You never know her strength until you drop her in hot water'. (Eleanor Roosevelt)0 -

To be frugal, you need to spend money wisely, simply spending less is not enough. If you can't handle me at my worst then you don't deserve me at my best...Courage doesn't always roar. Sometimes courage is the little voice at the end of the day that says I will try again tomorrow.0 -
Diva - be thinking of you tomorrow. Hugs xxI must not fear. Fear is the mind-killer.
Fear is the little-death that brings total obliteration.
I will face my fear. I will permit it to pass over and through me. When it has gone past I will turn the inner eye to see its path.
When the fear has gone there will be nothing. Only I will remain.0 -
Welcome Uolypool, I am still rather new myself, but love it here!

Afternoon Everyone
Went to get some skirting today for the new wall -to match what we already have, but nowhere seems to do it, so we have decided to try Jewsons tomoz as a last resort.
Went into Wilkinsons and got loads of things half price so happy with that.
Been dry and cloudy here with a wind that would cut you in half but the good thing is that I have managed to get all the washing done and dried on the line:)
Nothing else planned for the day really so apart from cooking dinner tonight my time is my own, which seems to be a rarity these days.
Diva ........Welcome back :j Good luck for tomorrow I will be thinking of you:grouphug:
