So, once we were finally home, she empties out her drawers - on the floor - cleans them and carefully organises the new gear, leaving space for September's new uniform (which is in the region of £250, apparently :eek )

Cheap at half the price.. do you want me to buy hers? and you can buy DS2's??

his blazer is £140 and his hat £65.. before we even start on trousers and shirts, pe kit, trainers and jumpers etc... I'll be glad when he leaves!!

Toots .. fabulous news.. and glad you ALL have had a lovely weekend!

  • Lovely to see you so excited, Toots: glad you had a good day.

Sorry I missed your birthday, embb - hope it was good.

We've spent nearly 10 hours on the conservatory today - half the windows need finishing (washing), but otherwise it's done. I'm exhausted and need to collapse in bed!

Natty - hugs for courage xxxx
Sandy - still thinking of you, too xxxx

Night everyone - missing my DD terribly in the evening!

If anyone has a few thoughts, vibes or prayers spare for Sandy, it sounds as if she could do with them - she's in a lot of pain.

Prayers are not my strong point, but lots of thoughts and vibes are winging their way to York.
    :(
He has been such a star through such pain. DH is staying the night with him and I'll go back over early in the morning.
Hugs to all who need them x

It sounds like you and your family could do with them, too, at the moment. Hope your little lad recovers quickly.
evening everyone - had a fabulous day - guess what i have seen and can now strike off my wish list???????????????????????????

That's wonderful news, toots. I'm so pleased for you.

This afternoon I went out with DH for fence paint and compost, cleaned the oven (I can now see through the door :D), potted on some lobelia plug plants and sowed some runner beans, which someone gave us in the club last night. Also made mushroom soup, used up leftovers from yesterday's fish pie and semi-tidied the kitchen after tea.
Oh, and I used the £5 off (if you spend £10 or more) code for Suttons to order some seeds. I was tempted by the blueberry bushes, but stayed strong... 6 lots of seeds have cost just over £6, including p+p. Not bad.

I'm now looking for strawberry plants, but I only need 10 or 11, and I'd like different varieties. I also need to find something for the planter outside our front door. I'd prefer something perennial, but it has to cope with a lot of shade. Any suggestions welcome. TIA.

ETA Pigpen - how did you know I'd planned on attacking the LR tomorrow. Glad your weekend went well.

who ever is in touch with Sandy please give her our love (AnW's Mum and me) and hope the chemo is doing its work - I know its horrible but bear in mind that the doctors would not put you through chemo and its side effects if they did not think it was worth doing - keep your chin up - you are in our thoughts and prayers (((hugs)))
    Done.

Glad you had a lovely time and managed to get something crossed off your wish list!

Dusty - sorry you've had such a traumatic bank holiday. Hope DS3 bounces back quickly ((((hugs))))

embb - hope you've had a fabulous birthday

julie - be honest... what did you really expect ;):p

I've made some progress with work so am going to head off to bed now. See you all tomorrow.

That's horrendous! If I ever needed a reason to argue for a reasonably priced uniform, you've just given it to me. I didn't realise how lucky we are. I don't think I've often spent more than £100 on DS1.

    ETA
Diva - hope all goes according to plan in the morning.
Natty - hope you get to see the 'right' doctor and it's nothing to worry about.
