    Debt-free and Proud!
    Evening all

Thanks for the updates on Sandy, L-L, please pass on my regards.
Diva - hope it all goes well tomorrow.
Soappie - very impressive birds, knew I needed an invite to dinner, it's mean of you to torture us with lovely food... photos...:D
Evening all! I'm in but I've had a quiet weekend - suspect I will be off to docs tomorrow - have all the signs of a UTI!:(:(

Sorry you are feeling poorly Yorkie, hope they get you sorted, drink lots and look after yourself. I am prone to UTIs but have finally got a referral to the continence nurse. I have to do a diary and we fell about laughing when the 1 litre jug was overfilled  Don't think that's normal :rotfl:.

Have decluttered a load of stuff via Freecycle so am feeling quite smug and green.

Oh - disposable v. re-usable nappies, with DS2 I had to revert to the disposables because he couldn't tolerate even the tiniest wee near his skin and tried everything that I knew worked for other two and that the HV and nappy-lady and many good folks on the MSE forum suggested before we had to give up, he was just miserable and bleeding. 2 out of 3 not bad though but they aren't for everyone.

Hugs to everyone else who needs them.

    Good night x

Wow Soappie that looks amazing, well done. How long did it take to cook?

About 5 hours Holly - and then a good half hour more to rest before carving. Thank you all for your kind comments. I'm still dead chuffed. Trouble is, I have no idea what to cook next time!

Still not right but not as bad as I was yesterday so I'm off to bed anyway. I really need to try for work in the morning.

    Night all xx

Fed up with painting and now trying to move furniture, good luck to DH and the furniture people on getting the new stuff in tomorrow. I'm toying with hacking the old sofa to bits to get it out as DH is not here to stop me.

Have managed to cook tea for the kids and have got DS to help clear up. Have been feeding the WM and TD but as for anything off the list I dont think so, although the living room list should be pretty easy this week :rotfl:

Have just had a skim read so wont remember too much so sorry if I miss you.

soappie - you are a far superior being to be able to do the 3 bird rosat, I'm mega impressed

Good luck to Diva for tomorrow

Welcome to the new 'faces' and welcome back to tyadog, sorry things have been kinda upside down for you and good luck with the new house.

    Hi all

I've just spent the last 2.5 hours trying to settle DS who decided that he wouldn't go to sleep for many reasons, some of which include: a new tooth that has almost cut, deciding to eat loads of food at the grandparent's that he doesn't normally have, that it's too light and that it's too much fun playing....I've got solutions for most of them, though!

I have been good though and managed the following:

(If it's not there it's gone)

    Easter Monday ~ Surprise!
    Level One
    Level Two
    S&S bathroom
    Level Three
Complete ALL your dailies! These are nearly done...although due to DS (See above) I won't be managing them all today...

I'd agree lemanie that cloth nappies aren't for everyone. We used disposables for around 6 months with DD - I tried cloth at about 6 weeks with her, they leaked everywhere so I gave up until she was older. A friend was a cloth nappy nut so lent me loads of different types...we got on well with Totsbots. Fast forward to DS: he was in disposables for the first 3 weeks then went into cloth. They worked really well but they are bulky and we found he was being restricted in his mobility - this became more evident when we went away for the week and put him into disposables. Could have been a coincidence, but he rolled within two days of being out of cloth. We tried putting him back into cloth when we came back but he developed severe nappy rash which we couldn't clear up without resort to disposables...

What's worse is that my sister is a real nappy advisor and we've tried every sort that she stocks and still can't get one that is suitable...

    Anyway, that's enough rambling...
    Have a good evening
    Take care
    D

I've done cloth with 6/8.. though DD3 had exactly the problem you say DS had.. she would go from absolutely fine to bleeding in hours. We ended up alternating cloth/disp.. but it did work.. and at least we saved some money! I had 3 in nappies at one point. though she does wear disp. pants for bed now, but she out-pees cloth.. she is 9.

Mine wore cloth overnight too.. and never needed changing.. and they could pee for England! We used totsbots too.. but used a wrap the size bigger than the nappy.

I'll go do a list for tomorrow now I caught up!

I am back home.. have I ever mentioned I live in a hovel???
