I've done a thread like this before. No apologies either, I'm like a dog with a bone on this topic. It really annoys me.
I've noticed that the posts pointing out other posters' poor spellings and grammar are steadily increasing, yet again.
Can all the sanctimonious types please just give it a rest. What is the point apart from making yourselves look clever and embarrassing the unfortunate victims?
The Nelly/Fifer running joke is exempt from my scorn

Good. There's love in this world for everyone. Every rascal and son of a gun.
It's for the many and not the few. Be sure it's out there looking for you.
In every town, in every state. In every house and every gate.
Wth every precious smile you make. And every act of kindness.

I agree aurora. I mean, just because my spelling is perfect, there's no reason for me to go around and tell others they should be perfect too...
ouch...ok ok folks,[STRIKE]sory[/STRIKE]sorry...

Er...anyway, isn't what we say more important than the way we spell it?Be careful who you open up to. Today it's ears, tomorrow it's mouth.0 -

Maybe spell checking on the site would sort this problem out - or is it already available but I haven't found it yet?0

Why go through a spell check if the message comes across just the same? I don't think a chat forum should be approached with same rigour as a thesis or a CV.Be careful who you open up to. Today it's ears, tomorrow it's mouth.0 -
If I make a spelling mistake it is usually in the title (and I haven't figured out how to edit that yet)
We all make spelling mistakes and especially if replying to an emotive subject or responding quickly and trying to be the first to get a reply in. What really irks me though is posters who correspond in 'txt tk' I find that quite difficult to read. It's easier to get forgiveness than to ask permission

I'm not too bothered by miss spelling as I can't spell or type and often press the wrong keys.:o
........but now I have to get the dictionary out to check out the meaning of the long words used.:paurora borealis

But if I worried about spell checking, I'd never post
Understanding is the most important thing.
I'd much rather have a badly spelled and badly written post that I can understand over one with perfect spelling that I have to read three times to figure out what it's all about.0 -

nitty gritty is an extremely racist remark !
look up its origin and original meaning, you will be very surprised.0
