You've been lucky then or I've been unlucky in 2 stores where I have taken things back. When I took something electrical back without a receipt I had to buy something else electrical for that amount at the same time.

Agreed! Yesterday, they offered me an exchange there and then (as I said I didn't have the receipt), or a credit note - but said that it could only be used on clothing - not on groceries. Also, my invoice did have the discounted price that I had paid for each item on it - which is why I said that I didn't have the receipt.0 -

If they have the boots that you want in your local store, take the boots that you don't want and the scarf back to store and say that you don't have the receipt. That way you should end up with more than you actually paid to spend on other clothes (as long as the boots haven't been reduced in store) and you could buy the boots you want. Hope that makes sense!0 -

New account is the way to go;
your £35 boots a £5 clearance = £40 less £10 code = £30 to pay and 2x 500 points code = 1000 points0 -
Same here, they certainly didn't try to deliver as someone was in all day waiting!
Apparently their trying to re-deliver today.
We will wait and see.
Good news. The lady at Tesco sorted it all out and my delivery arrived half an hour ago. They did lie about trying to deliver my items - apparently they could not find my address so gave up!!! If there's one thing I cannot stand is lying! Why did they just not give me a call and ask for directions.
I'm going to sit back with a cup of tea and go through my purchases now.
Thanks again OP for this glitch. :beer:'Fear is the path to the dark side. Fear leads to anger. Anger leads to hate. Hate leads to suffering.' :cool:

My two orders arrived today, I'm really pleased with everything apart from 1 pair of denim shorts which I might take in tothe store and exchange for some tailored ones as they are so nice I want another pair.
I'm so, so happy with my lovely holiday clothes.0 -
i received my order today. The jeans i ordered don't fit though so am planning to return them. if i return them for a giftcard, assuming the giftcard can be used on non clothes items, can you earn points on purchases made with a giftcard? ie could i buy the bonus cds and get the 500 points?0

When people are returning stuff instore, do you say you bought online? As I said I had bought online and they refused to do anything without the delivery note. Should I just say I want to return item?:j:T Total Prize Value 2012 - £1835 :T:j
