This morning some work had to be done; after that it was time to indulge in cooking and baking. Lunch was home made ciabatta bread with home made hummus (and left over roast chicken). Wonderful! The ciabatta was irresistible - and there go my good intensions with the WW and loosing weight.
Today I'll finish the 'Uncertainty' book. OH and DS3 are to sort his room and after that it will be time for a game of Monopoly. Also today, OH is ordering a game called Cash Flow - have been meaning to do this for sometime now.
Because of some potential developments in the Firewalker company life (on the work front) I have been doing some calculations yesterday. According to this calculations if I am to retire (which means that I don't have to work, not that I not going to work) in five years, we need to build £2,750 per month passive income (or as good as passive). This is under the condition that we don't have a mortgage by then. How do we do this? This is in line with my financial aims (these were set out on my blog) but this is also the area where I have not been doing to well.

Gosh you really do plan dont you? crumbs. I am not having such a good day. Exhausted. Steve and Andy are coming to visit me. I haven't been able to do much so i am going to rest once i have tidied. Am not sure about whether i will have time to attempt blog question. The New Economics Foundation have been producing fantastic work on this so the answer is there. Not much left to do just tidying and jumping into shower so i look presentable. Thank you so much for yesterday. I promise i have printed your advice and will be following it from now on. New me. Thank you for everything as always. kitXXXXXAiming for a minimal spend 20220

Dear friends, you may have wondered why there has been no post from me. Well, the answer is sximple really - I am leading extremely boring life at the moment. I wake up at 6.06 and I write till mid-afternoon with very short breaks. After that I look at my e-mails and there is enough brain function left to read some of the treads here; but not for doing, thinking and writing anything that is even remotely exciting.
I know some of you will say that I am on sabbatical and I shouldn't be so overworked. True, can't argue with that; sabbaticals are for bringing back some balance to life, regaining creativity and refocusing activity. This is the problem - I have refocused my activity almost entirely to writing. And tired as I am, I am still enjoying it - all kind of writing I do. As to academic writing - well, has to be done and there are too many 'lose ends' to sort out. At the moment, for instance, I am writing a paper that is becoming critical if a colleague and I are to get some funding for some further research and a book on the topic (I think I mentioned this possibility sometime ago).
On Saturday I am off to Oslo - a workshop. Thinking in terms of what is important for me, this probably is not such a high priority but I could not refuse a friend (who btw is doing things for me). Now I remember that Jack Canfield mentioned somewhere that people should learn to say no, and learn it fast; because this is what achieving their goals depends on. Mmmmm....
Back to writing and I have to learn to meditate; the Michael Jackson solution is not on!

Sorry i don't know if this is allowed but here is a copy of what i just posted on Susan's thread:
Girls have you seen this petition on Facebook to ask the Lords to query the changes the Con-Dems are bringing in to the NHS? If anyone has a free moment please can they sign it. One click can save our NHS from being privatised. Sorry to be political but and the NHS may not be perfect now but if they have their way it will be private healthcare all the way and none of us can afford that. Aneurin Bevan and a generation of people fought for us to have the NHS we cannot allow it to be destroyed.:(:(

I don't think they think we're stupid at all. If they did, they'd have put it in their manifesto's and let us vote on it.
Can't work out their game though. P...ing off people who believe in the NHS, women in their 50's, anyone with childcare needs. They must think we're going to suddenly have collective amnesia in 4 years time.
Sorry FW for hijacking your thread.

Do they honestly think they can destroy the NHS and we will do nothing? I think there is going to be a march in Hampshire. I will go. So upset.
