Not strange at all; it does feel good. And yes, we will do this WD thing together.

This was the shortest meditation session in history; we went, we saw, we left. After that my friend came to our house and had a glass of really nice red wine.

The reason we left is that the meditation group was in a small room, absolutely packed (some meditating stars were apparently there). My friend can't do too many people and I very inconveniently need air. So there...it is on again the week after next and we shall have another go.

Just spent an hour reading your blog and trying to think of my response - and my head hurts! Bet you £20 I am not the only one! Easier than entering the competition I think. My competitive, argumentative side is coming out when I try to come up with my entry, and I am not sure that I want to put it out there for all to see. I can get a bit carried away with myself.
Off to bed for a think!

Claudiac, part of WD, this is. We have to stop being afraid to unleash our creativity and use our intelligence.

Others are not hell; they are what helps us be and become better.

Apart from getting back to eating frogs today was a rather uneventful working day. I did write some e-mail messages that have been postponed for couple of days – disputing stuff is not nice; but then being exploited is not very good either. Oh, in fact, today was not uneventful – I got a message from someone in Finland to say that they are really interested in one of my research lines and whether I would consider any form of collaboration with them; and I did get a message from someone at the office to tell me that a visitor is really keen to meet me and would I...It is all good...but ...And here is the thing that I have been getting my head around.
There comes a time in the life of people when they have to clearly state their claim to existence – what is their contribution to the world (and yes, each and every one of us has a contribution to this world to make). Modesty, fear, shame, apprehension and the avoidance of exposure should be left aside. One stands up and makes the claim; and goes for it with all they have. It doesn’t have to work but we should try.
Why am I telling you that? Because once we have formulated and started making our claim what other people think, or what they want doesn’t matter. Paying attention to other – be it because they flatter us or put us down – is only going to detract from our goals.
This aside, today I had a really nice chat and a cup of coffee with Gilligansyle who was around and popped by to see me. Grand! Hope I’ll see her again soon.
We also tested our brand new pizza stones – it does make a difference. Pizza was lovely but tomorrow I am joining Weight Watchers – and on Sunday I am going for a run.
Now off to bed – tomorrow is another day.

Today may turn out to be a good one. I slept really late - yes, I am out of me teens and I can still sleep till 11.05. Probably needed it because was feeling very tired. After that we all, the four of us, set the menu for the next three weeks - doing it in one go one can make sure that it is varied and it saves time (of course). Then a lovely family breakfast - and since we just finished there is no much point bothering with lunch; we can just have an earlier dinner.

Today, for me will be a day of rest - I'll do the shopping; will cook some but have told OH and DS1 that they will do the cleaning; and they will do it properly at that.

Todays is a memorable day for another reason - I decided that this is it with the compression stocking. Today is the first day without it. I am going to build this leg now with walking; going back to the gym and eventually running. Also today I'll join Weight Watchers on lime - they seem to have a deal.

DS3 is speaking to his Auntie in Bulgarian - Skype, of course, so they can talk for as long as they wish.

OMG it is an economic question? You're on!

Will do tomorrow. I have one lecture to write and a few references. I will do it subconsciously.

And Firewalker, many, many thanks. Am inwardly digesting.

    thank you very very much.
