Can understand accessing the blog stats daily and also how it affects your mood. It just goes to show how important it is to you. Can you switch to checking your stats later in the day ie all your frogs must be eaten first.

I so love Cheery's post, never heard that one before but so true why should our new day begin the moment we wake up.

The blog matter was sorted out for me, really - Google Analytics has had its knickers in a twist and is not accepting the password. So I'll probably sort this one out in about a week's time. The blog is important - but it is important because of how p[opular it is or not. To me, it is important because of the opportunites to support others who are where I found myself about 18 months ago - and, yes, I have started having good fun doing the research and the reflection.

When I read Cheery post I though 'how wonderful adn so timely'. I love it too...

    Take care, Thrifty and thanks.

What would you tell someone who was working on losing weight ........................ and hopped on the scales every day, allowing the figures to dictate how they felt, and how they ate for the rest of the day??

"Step away from the scales" ???????????????????

Cheri - Can I ask which book you are talking about? I have just about got the idea of the frogs, but where did the monkeys come from???
It is the One Minute Manager Meets the Monkey. A series of One Minute Manager books that are quick and easy to read. Would highly recommend them.

    You are indeed FW.

Remember - if you're not having a good day - a new 24 hours can start whenever you need it to.... :)

What a fantastic way to look at it. My day started again at 2 today when I decided to walk out of the front door and start afresh but I never thought of it in this way. As always Cheery you are an inspiration.

Piece! Socrates said that the truth is born in semi-darkness let's test it. And remember - any mastery is achieved in 10,000 hours. Just calculated that I have done by now 1,365 hours of 'normal' writing (don't include the academic writing for obvious reasons).

It is time to hear, my friends, that when I was about sixteen I played with guns. Yes, we were all taken to ‘military practice’ and taught how to take a Kalashnikov to pieces and how to shoot it. I am a pacifist and I am hopeless shooting but not entirely sure which came first.

Problem is that the whole thing is documented and there is a picture of me posing with a very impressive gun which OH has seen. Tonight he told Little Boy that his mum used to play with guns.

‘It is not fair’ – LB said. ‘When can I have a gun?’
‘Well, darling, we live in a civilised country so no guns.’ – I retorted.
‘How about now that David Cameron is the PM?’ – he said.
‘All right, the country may not be so civilised but this still doesn’t mean that you can have a gun.’

My son has his politics right although his wish for a gun is awfully misplaced.

Can I confess that I too used to play with guns (rabbits not people) - and kept my shotgun licence for years when I lived in London as it is a requirement to work with theatre pyrotechnics.

Got fed up being hauled out of my bed by "wooden tops" in the wee small hours whenever there was an incident to be questionned - although I am certain some of the younger ones didn't expect to be chatting to a lassie.

No longer hold a licence - although did confess to my Mum a while ago that during practice I used to imagine I was aiming at my old PE teacher.

I gave up both my firearms cert and my shotgun licence a few years ago, as I wasn't using them and it became far too expensive and far too much hassle to remember to go and shoot (and sign up) regularly enough to justify it. Don't miss the cold, wet and hanging around AT ALL!!! (I never shot wildlife though... I'm no good with a moving target!)

Funny the things you think are unusual that turn out to be connections after all... now, is this one of those co-incidences that FW was mentioning earlier ;)

ETA... my visualisation was my maths teacher... I was a VERY good shot :p
