Hey, you are back. How was your trip?

As to the 'inertia selling' any tips what to do to avoid it and how to keep track are very welcome.

Trip was exhausting but productive. I'm now making up for the travel time by being flat out on calls from clients who had to wait while I was away and desparately truing to get this month's research reviewed and published on time (so far I've had things overdue by my own schedule but not by work stats!).

I'm looking for ideas for what to do with a free half day in Vienna, and where to eat, so seeing as you've just been there, what are your top tips.

Avoiding inertia selling? Read the contract - what's the trial period, what's the cancellation period? E.g. One month trial with 30 days cancellation means you don't have time to use the trial to make a decision... You either cancel on sign-up or pay for at least a month after the trial. Generally, if it looks too good to be true, it is. Otherwise, read the contract, work as out when you need to cancel and when, then out it in your diary/tasks as a priority with reminders, deadlines etc so that you at least have a choice about whether to go to the effort of cancelling.

When I was working hard on getting dfw, as opposed to building another career long term, I signed up for varoius offers, and I learned to literally "diarise" them - write in the diary about it, on the day on which I had to cancel them or else the next week I'd have to pay something.

I didn't manage to see anything this time but there is loads of art, museums and music in Vienna. Check here

And I have always eaten well in Vienna - but one has to be in the city centre. Watch the cakes - absolutely wonderful and tempting. All things sweet for that matter.

Hurray to immature attitudes and looking good! I had the same sort of thing from my new neighbour yesterday, she told me she was 52 in the manner of "I'm old and tired" and I said, "well, I'm 56" :D I do quite like shocking people :D

Have a fantastic time in Paris! How wonderful!

My mum was trying to tell me at the weekend how she was too tired/old to do something-or-other - at 52  I didn't point out that Mr daffs is 49 this year - and I have absolutely NO intention of letting him get away with being too old/tired for anything just yet! :rotfl: :rotfl:

This is the spirit! MrF is still rather young and energetic. And me - I have always said that I'll win a marathon when I am 80...partly because I'll be the only woman of that age to run it and finish.

I am 46 and today I was in a meeting with 2 people who I had to get their birthdates from, I had an :eek: moment when I realised that they were both 2 years younger than me. They were equally  when I told them that, they thought that I was mid thirties :)

Green bee, there is a blog " an new girl in vienna" English girl talks a lot about places that she goes to eat.

As I am aiming to head to Austria in the future I am following a few, I will not be near Vienna, closer to Saltzburg but the more I read about Vienna the more I want to go.
