Well I went out and bought me some dried peas today! Just about to plant them up so that I can have a steady supply of pea shoots!Taking responsibility one penny at a time!0

I thought it was lovely. More of a lifestyle programme than an instructive one but gave me a nice warm feeling and made me want to get out and grow things. The cute hippy thing is ok at the mo but I think it will probably start to pall in a few weeks.
I'm definitely going to get some dried peas though, I love the pea shoots Sainsburys sell but they are so expensive for what they are. My old washing up bowl is being drilled at the weekend when I've been shopping, that should be ideal.Oh dear, here we go again.0 -
I've got a feeling that there may be a shortage of dried peas in the supermarkets soon - a bit like Delia and her recipies!0

Yeah definately! And the supermarkets may curse her for the drop in salady bits! Hehe, but I'm definately going to try the pea thingOn the up

Hi , I watched this last night and no it isn't full of instructions etc but it was a pleasant way to while away half an hour0

I watched it today after a friend txt saying she lives a few roads away. I thought she was far too posh to live round here. I love how she has got her garden, I felt inspired to do my garden (a mess) rather than just my allotment (a beauty)!
Loved the dried peas business. I think it was aimed at people who kinda know what they were doing though not complete beginners.
The best advice for beginners is read a lot and just keep giving it a go, you'll learn your own style as times goes by.0 -

Such a disappointment and I felt that it was a waste of time.
What made it look worse for me was the fact that I had just watched The Beechgrove garden on BBC1 Scotland, a professional long running gardening program that is absolutely streets ahead.0 -
i watched this on iplayer just now have to say i did really enjoy it and will be looking forward to reading book:xmastree:Is loving life right now,yes I am a soppy fool who believes in the simple things in life :xmastree:0

Well I bought my dried peas, amazingly the brand she had (Leo, which the small print on the box says are actually Whitworths) were the cheapest in Asda at 27p!
Drilled holes in the bottom of an old washing up bowl and planted them in ordinary compost and they are out in a sunny bit of the garden. Now I just have to be patient which is the hardest bit!Oh dear, here we go again.0
