We did take a few at the end of the first summer on ours as we had all that mild weather through sept and oct last year so think you can take a few. But I would give it chance to get some roots down before taking any.

    Doesn't appear to :rotfl:

I've finally managed to get hold of some dried peas and now I can't remember what to do with them - did she just pop them in some compost and wait for them to shoot can anyone tell me please? Do I need to cover them until they do start to shoot?

    Thanks

it may be on here there are lots of beetroot recipes

ah ha! cheers it was Chlodnik.

I'm getting fed up with watching her eat all through the episode but thought the bits about foraging have been great. I liked the look of the fruit leathers but with all that sugar in it not sure it was super healthy! :p

Oh, and she turned me and OH's stomachs going in the chicken pen shoeless, eew!

    Happy moneysaving all.

It looked like she was using muslin but I think she said any natural fibres are good so plain cotton would be ok. That was a fantastic...I must remember to have a go too;)

edit; and remember to iron it to set the plant dye!
