Give George his own show! maybe he and Mr Singh could replace Adrian and Christine.

Excellent idea! I feel an email to the BBC coming on…!

I really enjoyed last nights programme! The onion man was fabulous and George is such a generous man! Going out today to get some lovely chard and kale, I had quite forgotten to buy them this year and her programme as usual reminded me. Every Thursday now my OH says so what has Alys inspired you to try today!

I loved it too, though my OH has taken to calling me Alys when l'm gardening, hair up, glasses on.

Anyone know what that beetroot soup was called that she made? I realy fancied some after seeing that mmmm :p

    Happy moneysaving all.
  • I might do a mexican hat dance around my seedlings to make them hurry up a bit, I doubt it'd work though :rotfl:

George and Mr. Singh are amazing and yes I agree should have their own show, perhaps emails to the BBC are in order!!

She looked a bit sad yesterday on some parts of the show bless her :(
Ahhhh.... lemony fresh victory is mineee!!!

I just wish they wouldn't do these special effects like making it look in parts like it is on cine film. It's a good enough programme without that.

Where do you get Beechgrove, I remember seeing that millions of years ago, It was great.

Have planted lots of peas for pea shoots and they are thriving. Love the programme but did feel a bit sorry for her last night.

I watched the latest programme today. Strikes me as odd that she refers to the allotment man as her friend, but he sounded surprised when she said 'I'm married to an american'....if they were friends, he would have known that. I wonder i these 'friends' are really friends at all.

Aside from that little niggle, i thought it was alright. I think i like her for her honesty, her reaction to failed projects and endeavours or those that don't go too well, because a couple of times she said the same sort of things that i would. Like when she poured the spuds out of the tub and then she thoughts because there were so few, that she should not have been so impatient and could have left them another week or so. That's me!

I really like this program! :D

I'm surprised about what she said about rhubarb though... Is it true that I can't pick any until the second year?? :(
