How do you find people's bank details through Google? I couldn't find mine and I know what I'm looking for.

I recently bought 8 AAA 900mAh rechargeable batteries for the CrabCam for just £6 incl. P&P :T
But yeah I did have to go till P3 to find them
I personally think that the postage aspect spoils it - things can go missing when not registered and the costs are higher - easier to get it in a local shop in town  and I can return it for replacement/refund if probs :cool:0 -
You are right about personal details not being available, I have changed my post to reflect this, apologies. What I meant was Company bank details are widely available via Google.Poppy9 wrote:How do you find people's bank details through Google? I couldn't find mine and I know what I'm looking for.
That’s fair enough and you make a good point about the fees. I just had the impression that you thought that there was no cover for bank transfer so was not safe to use, and was trying to point out that there was cover. Looks like I misinterpreted and got the wrong end of the stick so sorry about thatsoolin wrote:I would never ever use a PO or a cheque either. Since as you admit eBay take a £15 admin charge then I wouldn't get my money back if I didn't get my item, I would only get back anything over £15. Therefore buying items under £15 and paying by any other means than Paypal would result in me losing my money.
For me getting my money back means getting 'all' my money back, not just that part that eBay want me to have.

I normally offer a 4% - 5% discount for bank transfer even then take up rate is only about 5%. PayPal 94% and the other 1% by cheque or PO.0

No worries, I'm a bit paranoid when it comes to parting with my money so take extreme measures to protect myself. I always think that with the number of people still selling on ebay and stating in their listings that they are not responsible for items lost in the post that it is too risky to use anything that does not safeguard you as much as possible.
It's the whole two tier thing that irritates me, pay by paypal (backed by a credit card, not a balance transfer)and get your money back, pay by cheque and fight ebay to do a claim for which you'll pay £15, it's nonsense. The playing field should be level.
I bought a £110 item this morning on ebay and had to sweep my paypal account clean of the £22 I had in there first so that the whole £110 transaction went on my CC, that's how careful (paranoid ....) I am
