Voda might have dropped it but Nokia are still selling it (http://www.nokia.co.uk/find-products/all-phones/nokia-n900#/main/landing). and its come down by 20 quid. . .
  • Plus it is still on Voda's website

Plans to discontinue it do not make any sense, Vodafone have only been selling it for a couple of months or so. Who told you this?

If you go on vodafone.co.uk. There's a banner stating that the Nokia N900 is free from 10 pounds a month. That is actually a mistake that's been there for a couple of weeks now.

It would suck if vodafone decided to drop the N900 having already dropped the HD2 but the fact that they're big on Android now more than makes up for it. :)

It's not true, no. I work in one of the call centres and we do still have it available, so it's mis-information that's been provided to you sorry to say. The only phone that we stopped was the Nokia N97 due to the software issues.

    Hope this helps :)

Rang 191 today, they said it's discontinued due to lot of complants, so couldn't haggle with them after doing research :(

apparently the retentions team guys brother had had charging problems with it, I said the firmware up date would sort it, but he implyed it wasn't a firmware issue ?

He said the web site and stores are just unloading there current stocks,

really disappointed as you can't haggle with a web site, and instore don't generally do as good upgrades, PAC ordered, very :(((

Hi, just thought I would drop my comments in here about the phone!

I currently work for a College and I get to play with some nice kit and we recieved an N900 about 6 weeks ago and here are my thoughts:
Charge socket is in the wrong place (on the top)
Battery life is very, very poor
The OS is still not developed (and will it ever be?) properly for domestic use
Ovi maps is awful (update due 2nd Qtr)
Resistive screen is poor, but not as poor as some
    Video is great
Photos good, but a bit 'bright'
Multitasking rocks on it (had 12 running at once)

To sum up - buy an iPhone and wait for OS4!

    Intresting to see lee from vodafone's post has disappeared from above my previous post . . . And the link he posted to forums on vodafone, has an addition saying;

"Just to give you an update. As this phone is currently out-of-stock over the phone we'd like to provide you with reassurance of when it'll be available next."

*update* customer services (whilst trying to get local stores number) Say it's not discontinued, but out of stock, and maybe retentions got the two mixed up, they're not aware of it being discontinued, so no nearer knowing what's truely happening, just so you know,
