What on earth has this site come to when a simple quip is deemed deletable? Some sad mods/board guides on here these days power hungry puppies. For a supposedly unmoderated site there's more censorship than a George Orwell novel.,

I agree with other posters it sounds like an early form of dementia. I know you said he brought the loo roll down to save you a job - but wouldn't you just take some paper off the roll and flush it after use. The fact you say the loo roll was dirty makes me think he actually used the paper whilst still on the roll and didn't flush it - No matter if he didn't see or smell the accident - there is no doubt he would know that the loo roll action was wrong.

    Hi everyone,

I think there's been a bit of a misunderstanding about the loo roll - it was dirty, but only because he'd picked it up with dirty hands so there was poop all over it. However I do agree that bringing it downstairs with him was a bit bizarre.

Who asked if my carpets had turned yellow with the bleach? I can't remember. But just to reassure you - I did dilute the bleach first. I do have a few bleach spots on my trousers though, grrrr - but luckily they are an old pair anyway.

If he has lost his sense of smell, he must really have lost it - you would have to be totally anosmic not to smell that!

I do feel for him. I would be mortified if a friend of mine had phoned me to have the conversation I had with him last night. I am young enough (almost) to be his grand-daughter and this is such a personal matter. But I would be less of a friend if I hadn't said anything to him. At least now he can take steps to get it sorted out, and I can check that he has made an appointment to see his GP.

In the meantime - the odour eliminator seems to have done the job, and I will scrub again with bleach and then use a steamer.

I suppose on the plus side, the bathroom floor will be cleaner than it ever has been since I moved in, and the house has had a good airing because I had to open all the windows ......

I work where there is a toilet accessible by the public and it would appear to be a problem in my shop ( a bookies), especially for the men but not unknown in the ladies/disabled . One old chap regularly makes a mess, often steps in it and then walks it through the shop. I think he is doing a bit in his pants and then when he takes his pants down it rolls on the floor and he does the rest in the bowl unaware some is on the floor and under his feet. I guess sometimes it falls into his trousers and as he walks out it drops down the leg so falls out any time with movement. I was given the task of telling him he was barred from the toilet which was really embarrassing though he didn't seem to care and promised to keep the loo and floor clean in future if I let him use it.
Cleaning up is standard mop and bucket and when it's on the carpet I soak the area with disinfectant spray then scrub with a clean mop head soaked in soapy water but then, it is a different sort of carpet and it's not in my home, I would definitely be using a strong disinfectant soak there, same as I do when the kids traipse dog's mess through.

Myself and a friend were n Leeds shopping last week and whilst in a well known department store, my friend had gone to the changing rooms to try something on and someone had pooed in the changing room, on the floor...._pale_

The assistant said it wasn't such a rare thing to find....amongst other stuff.
