Morning all, never normally post on this thread (can't get a word in
) but thought that if I did today then I would be telling everyone my plans for day,and will HAVE to actually do it
Right here goes, already been into town, bought school uniforms ready for new term, this was essential as had to cut legs of trousers to make shorts last term
WM on its second load,DW filled been on and emptied
Biggest task of the day is going to be sorting out a budget spreadsheet, got no idea where to start,so will probably take the rest of the day
Lasagne for tea, will make sauce in a min
Got to make apple cake, raisin bread and oat cookies with kids as they want to do some baking.Maybe then I'll have to go for a jog to wear off all the calories (yeah right)
Right off I go and see what happens :rolleyes:Debt at highest £102k

Hello everyone,
Its actually rained here this morning.:T
I've been soaking little onions in brine this morning ready to pickle tomorrow.
The DW has done its job and the BM too.
This week I've been playing with the sewing machine some more and have now mended OH's slippers , his leather motor bike trousers and my reebock sports bra(which is 9 years old),the old machine just couldn't handle anything of more than one layer even though it was a trusty old singer.DD now has it for her first machine.
Yesterday was pickling betroot day.
We had a trundle round the charity shops and found DD a really nice black jacket and a skirt which go really well together(£2 the both). She is having to have a few bits of clothing for the 6th form college in September as they wont allow Jeans and T's and thats nearly all she wears usually.
I managed to buy one of her school books for £12.50 on ebay instead of £30 new.DS has the same book but needs it for this year, all her other books were his last year, so that was very cheap. We are having to find her Art materials though. I love looking around Art shops so thats no problem
Well, Im off to make our lunch sandwiches in a minute.

Afternoon all
It's been raining all morning - so dark I've had to have lights on.
Had to get the swimming stuff from last night washed and dry for tonight so had to use the tumble drier  I must admit I didn't dry the towles fully as I was doing some baking so the kitchen is warm enough to finish them off this afternoon.
Made 14 rolls, 12 raspberry muffins and a loaf. Also made some tuna fishcakes, using up some boiled new potatos left from tea the other night, a grated carrot, half a tin of sweetcorn and 2 tins of tuna (bogof), whizzed it all in the mixer to make it more "paste" like (DD's prefer it that way), they're chilling in the fridge before I breadcrumb them later.
Got some online bits to do whilst little one sleeps, DD's are being very helpfull as we're off to Chessington tomorrow and they're both after a bit of pocket money to take with them
Hope you all have a great afternoon."Start every day off with a smile and get it over with" - W. C. Field.0 -
I must remember to think about what I am doing, at the time. I would have had a lovely loaf ready for sandwiches this lunchtime - if I'd remembered to put the yeast in. Ah well, first time I've ever done that :rotfl: So, it's pappy shop bought hotdog rolls in which to place the ham - although I think I'll just have a huge bowl of ham and veg soup
At least my sausage casserole seems to be ok. Let's just hope I don't put a stray red sock in the white wash I'm about to put on0 -
Just noticed my next post is number 150 and then I might become a "Regular Moneysaver" so here it is!
The office is very cold today - I'm wearing trousers and a cardi, last week I'd have happily stripped to my underwear if I'd been able.

I find it great.
However, even better is the oven liner I bought for the oven about 6mths agoThis makes life a lot lot simpler. The liner was quite expensive (£9.99 I think) but so so worth it!
However, I think I need to clean the oven door soon, so you may yet just inspire me to dig out my Dr Beckmans and do thatGC - March 2024 -0 -
