A bit conventional maybe, but I found weigthwatchers great. I was nearly 11 stone when I started (5ft4), and did the 18 points fast start initially and lost half a stone in the first week without exercising. Weight loss slowed down after that to a few pounds a week, but easily boosted by exercise. Got to 9stone pretty quickly - and you still get to eat proper food which was a biggie for me!

It may not be a popular solution or a quick fix, but if you want to lose weight, then you truly have to want to do so.

Your diet during the day sounds more or less okay, but you must be eating an awful lot of rubbish in the evenings to put on weight - enough calories to reach and then exceed your body's requirements.

I assume you want to lose fat? That's the horrible wobbly bits - a pound of fat takes up more space than a pound of muscle. Crash diets tend to lead to more muscle and water loss than would normally happen if you stuck to a sensible diet. Becoming lighter and becoming smaller aren't necessarily the same thing.

If it's just the evenings, then try keeping junk food out of the house. Don't deprive yourself completely - if you want something, then there's no harm in making a few cupcakes and eating a couple of them. It does involve more effort than reaching into a cupboard though. Try keeping fruit you really like in the house and something nice to go with it, like full fat yogurt or single cream. Your body needs fat to function correctly and it's fine in moderation - dietary fat doesn't equal body fat.

Is there a type of exercise you enjoy - running, swimming, circuits, aerobics, spinning? Exercise produces adrenaline and endorphins and will make you feel less stressed and hopefully more positive about weight loss. Not only would it promote fat loss, but it would help your body hold onto it's muscle.

    Good luck! :)

We have a Wii fit, but again i dont go on it, it just collects dust!
    Thank you

Oh and get the Wii Fit out!! Its bleeding brilliant, I used it to improve my balance (which is awful due to ear imbalance!!) The 'Step' game is fab for exercising to, as you have to keep time with the other 'dancers' and its quite addictive and before you know it, you'll do an hour easily!

    Hello,

getting married on 5th June 2010 (65 days!)

i have most things sorted, i have the dress. but i have also put on 2 stone since getting the dress.

i have a lot going on at the moment and just seem to be eating junk and cant motivate myself to stop. i have done every yo yo diet under the sun including more sensible ones such as Slimming World.

i NEED a quick fix, i know its not the long term answer, but i need it for now. so i need you help.

do you know any slimming pills etc that actually work and if so the best possible price/place to obtain them.

    for your info:
    im 5 foot 7inch
    29 years old
    13 stone

Thank you for any help you can offer:T

Hi I've recently found a website called minimins and it is an excellent source of information on many diets. I found lipotrim to be a fast solution and it is with the guidance of a pharmacist so is more controlled than many quick fix diets out there. Sure it'll raise the eyebrows of some but a girls gotta do what a girls gotta do to be gorgeous on her big day! All the best for getting in your dress! x
  • i hope i dont sound offensive but i would def stay away from things that reduce your calorie intake to 1200 ect theres evidence to suggest that your body doesnt even work with calories and if you reduce to 1200 then your body just adjusts slows metabilism down and youl put on weight when you go back up to 2000 just cut out all the rubbish. One suggestion is to not eat any sugar including grapes ect and then you dont get cravings. cut out pasta and veg and eat normal meals and you can loose a lot of weight. im doing this mostly though still eating fruit and lost half a stone on 2 weeks and that was eating rubbish at the weekends cause of exams and stuff.

I tried to stay out of this i just think people have to be careful low calerie diets work well at first but theres no way to sustain them and youl just put on more weight when you go back to eating sensibly. hope you loose your weight before your wedding.

Good luck hun with whatever you decide to do. I want to lose a stone in the next 27 days so am going to get back into the wii fit (if i can get near it now the kids are off, lol) and once they're back at school make some use of my gym pass. Haven't been able to go lately cos i've been so busy with one thing and another. I'd happily give legal pills a go if i thought they would work, i mainly need appetite suppressants. I've done shakes before too and they worked well, mainly cos you don't have to think about eating which is great but it all depends on what works best for you. Good luck x

for me it is the cambridge diet

it is the only diet i will do now, i loose weight but more importantly inches quickly, it is easy to put weight on as soon as you stop the diet, but i think the same goes for all diets.
  • i recieved my package from HB though the post.

got some Soya Lecithin, Dr Stuarts herbal tea and that Lipotrim stuff. Unfortunatly the LipoTrim stuff is out of stock and coming on its own later grrr
