  • Hey Weenireeni

i think the problem is for me that even though its not that far away the wedding seems like a distant dream, its been coming and coming and i forget that its nearly here. Doesnt help that my horrid bridesmaid has gone and lost 2dress sizes and her dress falls off her, grrr lol

Do you want to have like a diary type thread in which we post our meals, excersie success and failiures in an attempt for motivation? If so i feel someone would kindly help by pointing us in the right direction for which section of the forum to post this in.

    just a thought?

i have text my friend to see when she goes to the gym to see if i can fit this into my stupidly busy schedule. i used to go to the gym and really like it once there
    :p

    Hiya,

I've been on phentermine that was mentioned earlier you don't get the runs or anything like that but it does keep you awake as it does have a little bit of speed in them. I got them from a private clinic and are £45 for a months supply they do work though.

Try using a wii like on wii fit ect ect.

    Good luck

    Steph xx
  • Speed, oh dear. i dont even drink so im a little frightened of things like that. We have a Wii fit, but again i dont go on it, it just collects dust!

Amphetamines (speed) work by increasing the heart rate and were one of the things I was warning about. Unless you are in tip top health they can throw up a number of problems (Here gives the cold facts!) A natural alternative is non cream (tomato based) curry type dishes. Chilli, pepper etc will all increase the metabolish and therefore the heart rate!! Some people swear by a veg smoothie with added cheyenne pepper (sure it tastes horrible LOL) or use it in a smoothie with maple syrup!!
:rotfl:Ahahah got my signature removed for claiming MSE thought it was too boring :rotfl:

Good luck! Other things to speed up metabolism include:

Green Tea:there's evidence that it contains antioxidants that speed up metabolism.

Eat plenty of protein-rich foods - research shows that around 25 percent of calories in a protein-rich meal may be burnt off. But make sure you choose low-fat protein foods such as lean meat, skinless chicken and low-fat dairy products.

And my personal fav!!: Curry!!! Spice up meals - it's not an old wives tale after all! Spices like chilli are thought to raise metabolism by up to 50 percent for up to three hours after eating, due to increasing your heart rate.
Hope that helps and keep us updated with weight loss and we will cheer you on!

I had a body wrap the day before my wedding and lost 9 inches. A bit pricey at £30 for half body but definitely a quick fix!

Im gonna get me one of those

How about one of those all-control body stockings by Spanx?

BTW Celebslim/slimfast etc are basically just skim milk powder and a multivitamin. You can get that for less than 1/4 the price of celeb slim.
