I totally agree with you! I love my 'real' friends muchly but they live miles and miles away and I don't often get to see them. I also don't have kids nor any particular inclination to make friends around here as I've not really met anyone I click with iyswm. I do have quite a social job so plenty of people to chat to (although lots are dirty old men :rotfl:) and my ex is being suspiciously nice at the mo too (up to something no doubt  - trying to avoid him). Don't really have time to go on an evening course and certainly wouldn't be able to commit every week (stupid hours). I only really stayed here for my OH who has a daughter nearby or I would have moved back home years ago! So it's really lovely being able to chat to you lot. So thanks for making me feel a little less lonely! :D

Sorry...a bit of a random chain of thoughts :rotfl:

the vicster, you are reasonably local to me...I just noticed you're in Bath. Bath and Bristol are my nearest cities.

April is my 1st month on this thread and whilst I have continued to spend on toiletries, it has only been on reduced items :o and have spent MUCH less than I normally would ;)

And I HAVE succeeded in using up products, a few more to report today:-

Body Shop Mango Body Butter WIBA I did love the smell and enjoyed using, but have loads of BS body butters in store, so probably not.

Liz Earle Energising Body Wash WIBA I love the smell but have another in store, so yes I would buy again but not until I have used up everything else.

Body Shop Shea Shower Cream WIBA YES!!! After I use the 6 or 7 I already have in stock :rotfl:

Molton Brown Arctic Birch Shower - WIBA no.......it's not my fave MB fragrance, Recharge Black Pepper is, and I have 2 or 3 of those in store.
  • Hi ladies, nice to see the lovely comments on here and also thanks for the get well wishes, update, dd is sort of ok and eating sporadic dry biscuits and drinking very small bits of squash, ds2 still ok, ds1 getting lots better with appetite back and dh very ill:(, but to be fair he is a bit pathetic and was whimpering earlier (insert rolling eyes here) . I know i sound harsh but its times of illness etc that really emphasise his less desiable boderline personality traits and i find it hard enough dealing with him when he is "ok", i wish i could be more sympathetic, but i find that bitting my tongue and making "allowances" every single day leave me short of anything else. Right moan over.

had anotehr couple of texts from the man who i gave up on yesterday - one telling me how he got on with the appointment, the next to ask me a schooling question. my answer - "it'll come".... !!!!!! !!!!! (and I seem to have replaced him with a very nice,im in little doubt that he fancies me(iyswim!! ;) ) not very poor man..... so we shall just have to see what comes of that !! ( and I had my ex on the phone tonight too - not sure whats going on there, havent heard from him for ages!!)

I have one wash left of the John Freida - i heard it spluttering, almost had a party in the shower when i heard it! I finished the Original Source scrub WIBA nope, more like a wash than a scrub and considering i managed to use half a bottle in 2 washes  it's not very MSE. Granted, I was trying to use it up lol but not excessively!

And one perfume down (CK Eternity Moment) WIBA yes it is lovely and summery, but time to change to one I don't particularly like, Christina Aguila night one in the red and black lace packaging or Ultraviolet...

Have a good day girls, i will be lurking on this board while at work anyways hehe x

Snipped i can totally relate that sound of an emptying bottle gets me all excited cause i can go get something different out of my stash, sad i know :o

we are now friends again I think,he turns into the strong silent type when annoyed with me which just freaks me out as I am more the tears and tantrums sort of girl:rotfl:one thing that caused the big row (him missing a concert I spent £60 on tickets for)didn't happen as his customer decided he was not needed so he goes away tomorrow and can come to the concert tonight:j(I had said he didnt need to go and see her last week as she was not sure if there was a problem with the machine)

    Ah glad its sorted Rosie.

You laugh because I'm different......I laugh cause I just farted!

Better to remain silent and be thought a fool than to speak out and remove all doubt. (A.C)

    Hello beautiful ladies!!

Another one here who loves catching up on this adorable thread!

    Now for a less-adorable rant....READY??? RIGHT!

This week has been an pathetic example of how much time I can waste sometimes. I have spent a TOTALLY DISPROPORTIONATE amount of time and energy FAFFING about trying to buy my P&P in the most MS way.

I feel as though Mr Boots has been toying with me with his web of offers, deals vouchers and freebies. I've been doing deals with Kaz by PM, posting on here re vouchers, phoning round branches trying to find the £31 Special Offer Every SA has told me she's seen "loads" in some other branch and I've just popped into town today and the last sold out last night. In the end I was going to bite the bullet, buy 1 jar for £20.50 and pay with my £5 off voucher til I got to the till and the SA said the shelf price was wrong and it went up a£1 last week to £21.50. Cutting off my nose to spite my face once again, I left it!!

Enough is enough! I hereby declare I am (maybe temporarily) abandoning my P & P night cream and at the risk of my face dropping into my neck, will proceed to test the much-lauded Aldi lLacura night cream for you, ladies.

There I feel much better now.
***Hoping the Aldi cream is in stock when I pop in on the way to work***

Completely agree with all, this is the best thread!

I unexpectedly finished a product yesterday - shame it doesn't happen more often - only a No 7 GWP microderm exfoliator, but I'll take what I can get!
  • Finished a big bottle of Nivea lotion. WIBA; probably not nothing special. Also finshed a small jar of Body shop body butter. Can't remember the fragrance but it was a bit overpowering. Have spent very little on tolietries this April. May get some Boots 4in1 wipes as OH gave me a Boots £5 off voucher.
