Hi again Kingston, agree with you on this one, if interest is not frozen then the end dates are not correct. However, I notice that most of them tend to freeze interest so the overall debt would be cleared sooner.... if that makes sense?

    Hi
I wish I could agree with you on this, but in my experience its going to be longer not sooner. We have been on our DMP with Payplan for over 2 years, (starting with £74k and now down to £33k.) and out of our 10 creditors only 6 have stopped interest. Our debt free date should be Feb 2012, but I know that Payplan's balances and the 4 creditors balances are different, due to the interest being added on. Apparently about 3 months towards the end of the plan, they (Payplan) contact our creditors, and ask them to remove the interest charges added, some do, some don't. Some may reduce the interest, but basically what it means, is that in the worst case scenario we may have another 6 months to go, and this is what I have set my mind to. Anything less will be a bonus.

    Hey tedsd.

If only you were right about it, I would be one happy person. :D Everyone is doing great, I know its not easy, and there are times when you wonder what the hell its all for, but believe me, when you can see the light at the end of the tunnel, it actually makes you a lot stronger and more determined than ever to ditch the debt. :T

Me and OH are close to retirement age, and I wish that I had had my LBM years ago, but there again, with kids at Uni etc, it probably wouldn't have been possible.

Well done everyone and keep going, you will get there. :T

Mummy Pig always does as Daddy Pig is fairly useless. Whereas Grandpa Pig on the other hand is excellent.................although he occasionally falls asleep on his boat and crashes it. ;)

No daft thing is I cant actually afford to go back to work... how daft is that! What with childcare, transport and loss of benefits I would be worse off. Childcare is simply so that I can have time for me. DS is 10mths soon and since he was born we've been joined at the hip. Not so bad with my DD, shes nearly 3 and grandparents look after her two days a week but neither of them are able to carry DS due to health probs and unless DH is off work its just me. Childcare would just give me a break. Oh dear am ranting again, my bad habit Im afraid!

Its thowing it down here... and the frogs are having plenty of hugs :rotfl::rotfl::rotfl::rotfl: We've even got newts! Its so funny as our washing machine is in the garage, so DH has to risk the jumping obstacle course in order to get the washing out :D

Well Ive had my wine and now Im whacked. Fingers crossed DS manages to make it through the night without screaming.

    Night all :A

Totally understand about the cost of child care...I was offered a job last month, just taking into account childcare would have left me owing money each month....I hope you can sort something out... a bit of time out is good for all of you! I think was a better mum when I was working 3 days and had a break to go to the loo on my own, have a hot cup of coffee etc etc etc.

DH shouting at me get off the computer, you're breakfast is ready, you're not a teenager!!!!

Hi blu ray...hsbc told me on the phone that they wouldn't freeze interest or charges on my cc debt pretty much laughed when I told them what the cccs amount would be but on my last statement it said zero interest so I am hopeful!
Good luck with them but you are doing well if all your others have accepted!

Hiya Kingston, am sure the 'N. Ireland team' will be along to help out soon...but as far as I know they're based in Leeds/Bradford area and from my experience they are wonderful, non judgemental and know what's what! That said, these boards have a wealth of experience so if you feel unsure you can always check it out with someone who has 'been there'...

    Have a good Saturday.:D

    I'm wwith what Tedsds says!
