Can anyone confirm that this is legit?
How can it make money?0 -
The Simply-Fone number (07744 974333) isn't included in Vodafone's inclusive minutes. I made a call a few days ago and was charged 51p for a 1:43s call (thank goodness I got the answerphone!).
I called Vodafone and after a lengthy discussion they refunded the cost because it wasn't clear I would be charged.
Apparently it is considered a 'private number' i.e. not registered with another network, so the cross network minutes won't cover it.
It's a shame, I finally thought I was going to get my money's worth from my mobile!0 -
The more this service is publicised the more likely the networks are to pass on the termination charges rather than letting it go in 'inclusive' minutes.I think....0

I've used 07744974333 from my vodafone for 2 months '2 bill received' & charged both times (£12.00 & £45)
Called 191 - voda Cust.services on both ocassions and was credited both times without any problem
I believe they do include it as free cals BUT they're relying on peoples lethargy & ignorance not to complain or bother!
Use that number 07744974333 and then complain if billed... Not the 'British' way but GO FOR IT GUYS...something missing0 -
agree with prev post.
i used number a lot to call India mobils / charged and fuly credited witout any prob.
vodafon are cheats to us.....0 -
i agree that vodafone do try it on- and if you phone and speak to them they may back down but were all of you who complained, direct customers of vodafone or did some of you buy the phone through intermediatries such as Dialaphone or singlepoint. If so does this make a difference?Mark Hughes' blue and white army0

yes.
my friend on singlepoint did not get credit....
seems only customers directly with vodafone qualfy in incl minute plans0 -
OK, so it's included in Orange inclusive minutes, but not Three or Voda.

A friend from another forum discussed it a couple of days ago. (Which I thought was bold.)I spoke to Orange customer services this morning. They confirm that calls to old Dolphin numbers - Vodafone NNG if Im not mistaken - are included in all normal Orange calling plans.
Both Alpha and Simply-fone seem to be hedging about this in future. I wrote to Ofcom asking whether providers would be obliged to give advance notice of charging these calls; if they reply I might put it here; it seems to me the answer should be yes. This is from a Simply-fone emailOur service only works if you have cross-network inclusive mobile minutes and is only available from the UK.
Most providers - except 3 currently - accept calls to:
07744 974 333 as included in cross-network minutes' allowance.
3 customer service seem to provide different answers to different clients.
We can confirm however that 077449 is a mobile number........
See below 'details' taken directly from Ofcom/government website:
7744 9 Allocated Mobile Service 10 Digit numbers
Please always check availability with your individual mobile phone provider
All simply-fone products are subject to your individual provider0
