More practical for other things too.

    And welcome.....:rotfl:
If you lend someone a tenner and never see them again, it was probably worth it.

How deep are they? Morrisons didn't have 7" tins, only those I described. The Deep Cake Tins looked really deep! Is that what I want? Can they be too deep? Do I need two? I'm gonna be looking at a £25 cake here!

    It is delicious.
It would work with 2x 8" tins no problem. Loose bottom makes it easier to release the cake.
Morrisons did not have a cake rack, but I'll improvise something, probably.
The rack out of the grill pan makes a a good cake rack.

Do you have a cake tin to store it in after wards?

  • :D OMG!! What have I started? Mr B, I feel somewhat responsible for this!!! I hope your cake turns out ok and you don't have to send for Mr Kipling!! Perhaps next time I'll post a recipe for something easier .... like birdcake?!!!
Once again I have to admire your equipment :D posh new whiskery electrickery indeed!! Just one thing - I see no yoghurt in the picture? Are you still going to make chocolatey yoghurt cake? I agree with Twink and oedipus, two tins are better than one. Remember to leave the cake to cool a bit before you try to remove it from the tin or it'll go pear shaped (pear cake?). Party at Mr B's Sunday everyone!!:D

I haven't got a grill pan. Or a rack. The closest thing I've got is the shelf out of the oven. :o

    I have storage facilities. :D
