I have been shopping.
I hate shopping because there's always something that throws a spanner in the works. :mad:
I have spent the princely sum of £14.48 (edit: now £16.25 with tins :eek: ) on this little lot:
Now I know it's not very MSE, and buying all the little weeny packets is daft, but I might never do this again. If I get the hang of it I'll buy bigger ones, honest.
Morrisons did not have a cake rack, but I'll improvise something, probably. :rolleyes:
When it came to cake tins, however, I hit trouble.
The following options were available:
"Deep Round Sandwich Tin", 8 3/16" x 1½" (210mm x 40mm) £2.99
"Deep Cake Tin", 8" x 3 1/8" (200mm x 80mm), loose bottom, £3.99
"Springform Cake Tin" 9¼" x 2½" (230mm x 60mm) £4.99
So I came home empty handed, all miserable and confused.That means I'll have to go back :mad: when you tell me which (and how many) I need to buy for the chocolate yoghurt cake.
And sour cream? Why am I buying stuff that's gone off?
Vanilla essence is the same as vanilla flavouring, right?

if you are doing a sponge with filling in the middle i would get 2 round deep sandwich tins and cut out a circle of greaseproof paper for the bottom of the tins and to take out the sponge from the tin run a knife round the side first0

I ain't very good with tins, I just use what I got and hope for the best.
I would ask rikki what she used as she has made it
I will say though I prefer the ones with push out bottoms, easier to remove the cakes then!!I live in my own little world, but it's ok as everyone knows me here0
