No, you'll be surprised how much you can see by shining a light through the panel!! Don't ask!:rotfl: Just make sure your torch has batteries, and i can advise a clean glass panel (wish mine had been!!) as it makes it easier!

It's pretty clean now. It was so filthy when I moved in and inherited the cooker that I didn't know it was clear glass. _pale_

My house was previously owned by Mrs Bad Taste and Mr Bodge The DIY. Neither of them particularly houseproud. :(

    Don't get me started.

I reckon I could push the kitchen window out with a moderate shove.
The sink in the bathroom does not, apparently, need fixing to the wall.
How to lay a carpet: First, throw down a handful of gravel.
Artex belongs everywhere. Especially the walls in the kitchen. Then it should be painted orange to complement the yellow artexed ceiling.

I could go on but it's a bit off-topic.

A very fine drill bit would substitute for a skewer.:D

sorry to butt into your thread! I always use a knife myself

By the way on the greaseproof paper front, I find that baking parchment is better - it doesn't stick!

    Good luck!
