The bank charge has been refunded straight away - it was apparently a monthly charge applied because of my "blip" a while ago but they've taken it straight off so its all good :D

I'm going to my local Barclays today to open an ISA with them, looking forward to having all my savings in one place as it will seem like more money. I do wish I'd done this a couple of years ago, but I kind of blindly hung on to the idea that there isn't any point in having savings when you've got debts so didn't put anything away. I now look at my various "funds" as being there to prevent getting any further into debt, as they are all savings for short term financial needs rather than "rainy day" savings.

I also keep thinking about switching my current account. I'm with my bank just out of misplaced loyalty really - I used to work for their parent group. I have my mortgage with them and can't do anything about that as although we can afford it we don't earn enough to borrow that amount anymore. I think I'm going to bite the bullet and phone A&L to see if we can switch to a joint account with them - DH's business account is with them so I don't know if that will stop us getting their premier account switching deal.

Spent £120 on shopping yesterday, which is ridiculous. I really need to rein this in - I didn't even get some of the stuff that we needed! My excuse is pmt - I seem to go really cr*p at everything during this week, work takes longer, the house is a mess, I spend too much money and am narky with my family:o:o:o

Was going to have an NSD today but having hair done so thats out of the window.

Not a great day for sins yesterday smiley-eatdrink020.gif

    Light salad cream
    More olives
    Fab lolly
Tiny choc bar (found lurking in the cupboard left over from party bags)
*editing to fess up to a big bag of marshmallows I shared with the girls (2 for me, 1 for you...)

Have applied and been accepted for a new joint current account with A&L :T so will get £100 once its all gone through. If I've managed to cobble together the tax shortfall money by then I can pay it off the cc debt. I've also applied for the credit card, which has 0% on bal xfers for 12 mths with no xfer fee - will have to decide how best to use that when I get it.

Had to make an appointment with Barclays to sort out the ISA for tomorrow afternoon. I hope they don't try and sell me other products though, I hate it when that happens.

I'm not doing well with the diet at all this week. I keep finding leftover party food stashed around the place and scoffing it. Yesterday I found a big bag of butterkist toffee popcorn and polished off the lot over the course of the day smiley-face-popcorn.gif

DH's tractor is still a problem so our income will be down a bit for this month when I do the invoices, plus he's making very disturbing noises about trading it in (this translates as spending lots of money we haven't got! & completely stuffing up all my careful plans)

We've decided, or rather I've decided and DH has agreed, to shelve the idea of Vegas for my 40th next year. I don't want to leave the children even for a few days while they're little so we're going to aim to have our first holiday abroad since DD1 was born in October 2011 half-term instead. This avoids DH's busy season, shouldn't be too hot for me and the kids and will hopefully be cheaper than going in the summer. I'm off now to browse the holiday sites to try and get an idea of destination/budget - I do like a bit of window shopping!

    Spends yesterday £7.53 groceries & £50 hair

Was just about to declare NSD 9/10 on the NSD thread when I remembered I spent £7 on soap powder etc at the staff shop. V. annoying because I need a birthday card and deliberately didn't buy it because I thought I was having an NSD! Will plan carefully and try to get everything I need for the weekend today so I can clock up 3 more NSD's over the long weekend.

Made some chocolate rice-crispie cakes yesterday and ate a fair few, no idea how many sins that was!

I am now the proud owner of an ISA with £400 in it. Looking forward to getting my tax rebate so I can bump that up asap. I have got some more savings in another account but I want to keep hold of that for a week or so in case my current account looks like slipping over its o/d limit during that sticky 1st week of the month.

Working today, tomorrow and Tuesday through to Saturday next week - really not looking forward to it & really hoping that next Saturday will be my last day.

Just a quickie today, had an NSD yesterday so no spends. Sins, I'm ashamed to say - loads more choc rice crispie cakes and 2 magnum minis. I will still have the cheek to be upset when I have a gain on Monday though!!

Another bad day on the choc rice crispie cake front though I'm happy to report they are now all gone. Had a Fab lolly too.

Spent £20 in Morrisons on groceries yesterday, hoping to get my target 10/10 NSD today.

Not much planned for today, doing a bit of family visiting this morning then will probably try and clear the ironing pile to get ahead as working all next week. Not the most exciting BH weekend in history but at least its cheap!

Not doing very well diary-wise this morning, having trouble updating my sig - its too long, plus have lost yesterdays post. Think I'll do a proper update later, for now suffice to say I gained half a pound at yesterdays weigh-in and then still went over my sins. Spent £5 at a summer fete (my children never want to do any of the activities, so at least its cheap!) and £105 on groceries delivered. Working today on an unfamiliar round and got 85 parcels to deliver so won't have time to eat or spend today!!

Very short of time again this morning. Did better but still not brilliantly on sins yesterday - think about 15. Had an NSD as predicted - far too busy to spend, work was a nightmare - will rant later if time. Another busy-ish day today but shouldn't be as bad as yesterday.

Woke up far too early this morning, which is always annoying - but at least I've got time for a proper diary update.

Still v. busy with work. I'm covering someone else's round while they're on holiday and its been a bit hectic, looking forward to getting back to my normal round for tomorrow and Saturday. Looking forward even more to finishing up altogether but still don't know what's happening about my replacement so that might not be until the end of this month.

Managed to stay within my sins for the first time in over a week yesterday - 1 mini magnum and 1 fab lolly. Must stay on the straight and narrow now!

Had another NSD yesterday but must get a few groceries today, going to try and make sure I get everything we need over the weekend in one go so I can get a few more NSD's under my belt before the week is out.

The figures are a bit rubbish this month:

    Business Account Balance 359
    Business Account Outgoings pending 861
    Personal Account Balance -816
    Personal Account Outgoings pending 2007
    Personal Account incoming pending 952
    Invoices Pending 1735
    Invoices Overdue 290
    Total Incoming 2520
    Total Outgoing 2868
    Leftover -348

Money owed that we'll get eventually £670

Not brilliant to have a negative figure in the leftover section obviously, but there are a few things I can do to improve it. The PA outgoings includes my savings figures and shopping budget, which I should be able to reduce by using cash if DH gets some cash jobs. The £670 we're owed that I don't count because they're late payers will come in eventually so that put us back in the black. Also still (anxiously) waiting for my tax rebate to arrive + think we've been underpaid tax credits so might get some more money there.

Didn't get a chance to update my diary this morning so a quick update now before the kids notice they don't have my undivided attention...

Spends - yesterday £20ish on groceries and today another £35! Haven't been paying attention/sticking to meal plan at all as its been such a busy week, I must get back on track from next week because we simply can't afford to live like this.

Sins - did v. well yesterday, had 12 olives and a fab lolly so well within the limit. Doing OK so far today too but I won't count my chickens.

DD2 has just come over for a cuddle - I knew I wouldn't get away with ignoring them for long x
