Sins yesterday: 1 burger and 3 sausages (full fat ones) + salad cream and sauce. 1 fab lolly.

Spends yesterday: £20 on bbq stuff - well worth it as thankfully it turned out to be a celebration barbeque!
    £5 for a school trip for DS1
£9.25 for a school group photo for DS1

Today is housework/ironing/general drudgery day so shouldn't cost me anything!

Sins yesterday: 5 blue riband wafer bars (yes, 5 :o);2 fab lollies; 1 choc eclair toffee. Not looking good at all. Also, have not been doing any walking because its too hot and I'm a complete wimp when it comes to sun - I can only really handle it when I'm on a lounger by the pool ;)

    Spends yesterday - £0, managed NSD 6/12.

Had a fantastic child-free day in London yesterday, lunch on a restaurant terrace overlooking Regents Canal then took the waterbus from Little Venice to Camden Lock and wandered around the market for a couple of hours. Needless to say it cost a pretty penny, but it was for my birthday treat.

    Spends:

    Travelcards: £24
    Lunch: £45
    Waterbus: £12.80
    Drinks: £20
Taxi from Camden back to Fenchurch St: £17 (DH had stashed an emergency £20 & we couldn't face the underground again)
Chinese takeaway when we got home: £20

I bought a necklace, some sunglasses & some extra-hot chilli sauce but they came out of £30 birthday money that my mum had given me so don't count.

So an expensive day (and can't even bear to list what I ate!!) but worth every penny.

We're taking the kids to the local "Feast & Fayre" this morning, then back for the football this afternoon. I am being nagged to do a bbq but am standing firm - we had one in the week and I'd have to go and buy the food, when I've already got the stuff for the meal I'd originally planned.

    Sunday:

Spent around £25 at the Feast & Fayre on cr*p, food & alcohol. Sins: Large slice of lemon cake; fab lolly; loads of olives; gravy on dinner

    Monday:

Got weighed, gained another 0.5lb - thought it was going to be worse actually

Sins: fresh cream vanilla slice; viennese whirl; 2 fab lollies

Spends: £4.95 SW; £15 groceries; £12 suntan lotion

Off to Legoland today for my birthday with the kids and my mum and auntie. I bought the kids tickets last week when they were having their 72 hour sale, so paid £42 instead of £56. I've got a bogof voucher for adult tickets, so me and mum will pay £19 each instead of £38 each and have got enough points on my nectar card to pay my share. So although its a very expensive day out its only actually costing me £42 in real money when it would have been £94. My auntie lives not far from there and is meeting us in the park, but she got her ticket in the sale too so is paying £28 instead of £38.

I'm taking a picnic (got to go and make it now before the kids get up) and the only shop we're going in whilst there is the seconds and end of line one. I'm hoping its not going to be over-the-top busy as its a school day. DS1 should be at school, but the rest of his year are out having induction week at their senior schools all week so I decided he wouldn't be missing much if I let him have a day off - his induction is only 1 day.

After today, I am going to buckle down and sort out both my sins & my spending. I can't let things drift like they have been or I'm going to be fat and poor by the end of the summer and that's not in the plan! July is a quietish month for us so I'm running out of excuses!

I keep falling behind on my diary, must try to update daily otherwise I forget what I've spent/eaten.

    Tuesday:

Spends - £20 petrol; £19 Legoland entry (couldn't use my nectar points in conjunction with my tesco clubcard 2 for 1 voucher); £7.50 in the gift shop; £20 dinner in a pub on the way home. Not a bad total spend at all really, compared to other times we've been. Also it was the quietest I've ever seen it, so we got to go on everything with hardly any queuing and we really got our moneys worth.

Sins - A twister lolly, a sort of slush-puppy coffee thing and scampi & chips on the way home

    Wednesday:

    Spends - £2 groceries

    Sins - 1 french fancy (6 sins) & 1 fab lolly (4 sins)

    Thursday:

Spends: £84.50 on various things for DS1's new school; £115 grocery shop delivered

    Sins - same as yesterday

Taking DS1 to his new school for an induction day today. Its about a 20 minute drive and I've got to do it 4 times so will probably need petrol, shouldn't spend anything other than that though as my house is a tip and the ironing pile (mountain) actually reached critical point yesterday and fell on me - think its time to catch up.

    Friday

Spent £67 in Sainsburys on NOTHING! Well, nothing we really needed anyway. £30 on petrol

    Sins 1 mini-twister; 2 fabs

We're going to a school fete today at the school DD1's joining in January, then its our town festival tomorrow. Luckily my children aren't really interested in rides or face-painting or any of those kinds of things so we should be able to keep spending to a minimum.

Managed to get through the fetes & festivals, plus buy a few groceries over the weekend and have still got some coins left out of the £20 I put in my purse on Saturday morning. We had a really good weekend too, even managed to keep DS out of his bedroom (cave) and away from his laptop/tv for record-breaking periods.

The downside is I ate more sins than I should have - again.

    Saturday:

    Fairy cake with butter icing
    Half pack of jelly tots
    Finished DD1's ice-cream cone
    A refresher lolly
    A fab lolly
    1 large glass rose wine
Plus had a barbeque with full fat burger & 2 sausages + sauce

    Sunday:

    About 6 toffees
    A mini-twister
    A fab lolly
    Yorkshire pudding
    Gravy
    2 large glasses rose wine

Needless to say I'm not particularly looking forward to my weigh-in this morning.

Got DS's sports day this afternoon, then going to his new school uniform shop to get all the stuff with the logo on it definitely not an NSD for me today!

I'm amazed to say I'd lost 2.5lbs when I got weighed on Monday! Unfortunately we ended up having huge portions of fish and chips with curry sauce for dinner that night so have probably put it all back on already. It cost £20 for the five of us that we didn't really need to spend too, but we'd been to DS's new school to get his uniform (£136 ) and got back later than expected so it was the easiest way to feed everyone fast. I think the only other spends on Monday were £4.95 slimming world & £11 for a pair of Avon fit flops I ordered from Ebay after reading some of the threads on here.

On Tuesday I signed DD2 up for Tumble Tots, £36 and bought 3 photo's of her that had been taken on her trial session £10. Also spent about £10 in Morrisons. Can't remember what I ate but I know I stayed roughly within 10 sins to try and atone for Monday.

Yesterday my grocery shopping came, £106. Also, my overworked steam generator iron finally packed up as its been threatening to do for weeks so I bought a replacement for £149. I could/should definitely have got a cheaper model but I did quite a bit of research and got the one that had the best reviews for performance and longevity. DH is not impressed with me, but he doesn't compromise on cost when it comes to his tools so I'm not going to either.

Ate 1 fab lolly and 3 mini-milks - not over the course of the day like a normal person might but all in one go while DH in the bath :o

We're off on DD2's pre-school outing today, we paid for it ages ago and we're taking a picnic (and Nanny in case we need ice-creams) so I shouldn't spend much.

I really don't want to let this diary slip. I need to get back in the habit of updating every morning otherwise I can't remember what I've spent or eaten.

As far as I can recall:

Thursday: Pre-school trip to local zoo. Spent £8 approx in gift shop & about £6 on drinks etc. I remember eating a calippo lolly while there, and quite a few cheesy puffs but don't know what other sins I had.

Friday: Did lots of housework. Paid 3 weeks papers £15 & posted a large letter 87p. Can't remember if I spent anything else, don't think so. Can't remember what I ate.

Saturday: Spent most of the day in the garden/paddling pool with the girls, DH at work and DS at his dads for the weekend. Spent £12ish on groceries, think I was ok on the sins - 2 or 3 lollies.

Sunday: DH had bought himself a new amp of ebay & the seller lived on the coast so we decided to make a day of picking it up and take the girls to the seaside. Had a really nice day in Worthing, which is pretty and old-fashioned seasidey but wasn't rammed with people.

    Spent:
£120 on the amp - he'd been after one for ages and I'd budgeted £200 for it so not bad.
    £35 on lunch/drinks
    £7 on ice cream
    £40 on petrol

    Sins:
A chilli burger with guacamole - I skipped the fries and only ate half the bun
    A large cappucino
A cornet with organic honey ice-cream - completely delicious, I could live on these
    Fab lolly

Weigh in today, so what with yesterday plus mondays fish & chips and general overdoing it on the lollys all week I'm not expecting good news.

DH has noticed that one of the tyres on my car is bald so I'm going to need to buy a new one today. Apart from that I'm going to try and keep spending to a minimum this week.
