Yesterday
Managed another NSD
Had a fruit pastille lolly (4) plus sweetcorn with a "red" meal - not sure how many sins that is
Today
Hmm, was going to be an NSD but needed petrol so thought I might as well go very spendy instead:
Petrol £50
Groceries £8.77
Party game on ebay £2.99
Ink cartridges £15.99
Dolls house furniture for DD1's birthday £20.35 (£10 from Nanny)
Will post more later, dinners ready!

Oh dear, keep getting a bit behind on my diary but I seem to have such a lot on lately. To recap:
Saturday sins: 1 mini magnum and 1 fruit pastille lolly
Sunday: An NSD + cancelled my lottery direct debit (£12 per month), talked to Sky about my phone and broadband and reduced those by £3 per month plus realised (thanks to this site) that instead of paying £17 per month for AA cover I can use my clubcard vouchers to get RAC cover for myself & DH for the year. Total saving of £33 per month/£396 per year for about 20 minutes work! The only thing that stops me being pleased with myself is that I could have saved myself a fortune by dong it sooner (I can't bring myself to work out how much I've wasted...)
Sins: 1 yorkshire pudding + gravy with my dinner (plus ate the fatty bits on my lamb cutlets
)
I have stayed within my sins again this week so I really hope I get a decent loss today - I don't feel any slimmer though so not looking forward to the weigh in.
Lots of bits and pieces still to get for DD1's birthday parties this week but will try and be very MSE at all times and keep it to a minimum.

Hi AM, thank you - haven't had a chance to catch up on your diary for a while but I see from your sig that you're doing well with your diet- well done :T
I lost another 1lb yesterday so I'm still on target, and I got my 2 stone award too! That's been a long time coming, got within a couple of pounds of it last October but its taken me till now to get back on track. I've got this fear of being fat & 40 so have a big incentive to get the weight off and keep it off
Yesterdays sins - half a pack of choc buttons + a fruit pastille lolly
Yesterdays spends:
SW £4.95
Papers £4.85
Post office £3
Party cr*p (prizes, bags,decs etc) £20
Finances looking better, but the balances are a bit distorted because a) we've had a cheque for an insurance claim that hasn't cleared yet but spent the money yesterday (its DH's work tools so doesn't count as me spending!) and b) I did a bal xfer from a card into my current account which has cleared but I haven't used it to pay stuff off yet as it was more important to get the tools quickly.

I just wish our customers would all pay up on time every time so that I could manage this money properly - at the moment its all a bit hypothetical!

I did post this morning but looks like the gremlins got it again.... Can't remember what I put but don't think it was anything major & can't be bothered to do it all again, apathy has taken hold x

Bit the bullet yesterday and told the lady who's cover I do on Friday's and Saturday's that I should be giving up around November (this isn't committing myself really, just a heads-up for her out of courtesy cos she's lovely). I'm definitely going to try and get some full-time contract work in the City for the winter, I'm actually quite looking forward to it. The trouble is I really only want to work November, December and Feb - DD1 starts school in Jan and there's no way I'm going to miss doing the school run for her that first month. I'm sure something perfect will come up! I am in touch with quite a few colleagues/bosses from previous contracts on FB so will post on there nearer the time to see if anyone needs some cover.
Yesterday was an NSD. Sins wise had a bite of a rocky bar and a mini magnum (yum) so probably just under 10. My scales say 10st 12 this morning which would mean I've lost 4lbs since Monday but unfortunately I think its just AM's gremlin up to its tricks
Working today and really busy, I've got 81 parcels to deliver - at least I won't have time to eat!

Well i shouldn't have made the comment about not having time to eat - managed a piece of coffee cake, a mini magnum and 2 (yes just 2) choccy buttons so probably went over a bit on my sins. Today I'm shopping for party food and am going to have to use all my willpower not to stuff sweets in my gob when I'm supposed to be stuffing them in party bags!
Spent about £8 on groceries yesterday, all necessary but not very MSE because i got them in the little expensive Tesco cos I couldn't be bothered to go to Morrisons.

One of our customers is a notoriously bad payer, its frustrating but we do know they'll eventually pay up and they are a good customer so we kind of have to live with it. I think I might take the money they owe us out of the equation altogether and record it separately so that when they do cough up I can just pay the whole amount straight off one of the cards. That would change the figures to look like this:
Business Account Balance 12
Business Account Outgoings pending 208
Personal Account Balance -639
Personal Account Outgoings pending 901
Personal Account incoming pending 325
Invoices Pending 1140
Invoices Overdue 180
Total Incoming 1018
Total Outgoing 1109
Leftover -91
Money owed that we'll get eventually £640
I think it'll be less stressful for me to look at it like this, plus will know that when they do pay up I can knock a big chunk off our debt straight away which will be very satisfying.

Bit of a nightmare this evening. We bought DD1 a much-wanted bike for her birthday a few weeks ago from Amazon. It arrived needing a little self-assembly but didn't seem too taxing and DH is quite "handy" so we left it until tonight to put together once she's gone to bed. Unfortunately the one they've sent us is clearly faulty - the axle for the front wheel was too narrow and DH has just spent the last 2 hours trying to bend it out so he could get the wheel on. At one point I thought he was going to give up and had to resort to a wobbly bottom lip to get him to carry on - couldn't stand the thought of her disappointed little face when she's been looking forward to her birthday so much. He's managed to do it though (I knew he would, he's a star) so he's saved the day, but it will have to be replaced because its not stable enough to let her ride out on the street.
That'll teach us not to leave things to the last minute in future!!
