My lose lbs save £'s diary

Will have to be brief this morning, feeling a bit fragile.
Spent £18 in Morrisons yesterday in fruit and veg plus some nibbly stuff cos we had for friends coming round in the evening, and £7.50 in the chemist. Total £25.50.
Food I shouldn't have eaten:
Loads of stuffed olives (don't think these are too bad)
More easter egg, but only about a quarter
Far too much toffee vodka (am regretting this quite a bit this morning)
Have found out that our (borrowed from a friends mum) holiday caravan is going to cost £200, am very pleased with this because we usually rent a cottage for about £600 so its a big saving. I've checked on the holiday park website and we would have paid over £500 for the same week if we'd had booked one of theirs. I got a bit overexcited and used the last of our cash stash to top up the holiday fund to £200 so I could feel like the holidays already paid for, but I think I mighs t have to take some out again cos DH is doing mostly invoiced job this week so won't be getting much cash.
Got to go & lay down on the sofa now, my head hurts...

On the plus side, I felt far too hungover to spend any money yesterday. Unfortunately this meant that I didn't get round to doing my ebay listings either - must get that done over the next couple of days. 6/11 items I had listed finished last night, total £23.20 towards DD1's birthday fund. I need to step up a gear on this because I've got less than a month to get to my target.
Will try and get all my spending done today (haircuts, paper bill, postage for ebay stuff etc) so I can aim for another NSD tomorrow. Going to have to take £20 out of the holiday fund though because I left myself short.
Got to get weighed today, that's not going to be pretty. Yesterdays food list
:(
Bacon roll
More easter egg + chocolate buttons + 2 bits of aero
Fab lolly
1 yorkshire pud; gravy + apple sauce
Small handful raisins
Packet mini cheddars
Still no money from our customers....

Ooh, you had a hangover munchies day yesterday :rotfl:They're the best! Although the hangover is never good!
Excellent news on the hols, great that it's almost paid for barr the £20 you had to take out again - where abouts is it you go? I love holidays
Good luck on the weigh in x0 -

Thanks choc-addict, we're going to a caravan park near Southwold in Norfolk so as long as the weather is good it will be lovely
The weigh in was a total disaster, but anyone who's seen the list of stuff I've been eating this week won't be surprised to hear I gained 2lb:eek: It has given me a kick up the backside though - the only thing I ate yesterday that had a sin value was a fab lolly, 4 sins, if I can stick to less than 10 sins a day for the week I know I'll lose that 2lb easily.
Spends yesterday were:
Fruit £3
Paperbill £4.85 (must pay this weekly from now on to avoid a huge bill)
SW £4.95
Total £7.80
I managed to resist DD1's pitiful little plea for a magazine - those kids magazines are such a rip off, some of them are nearly a fiver!
The bank account is back from the brink just about, still no invoices paid. I think it may be that the accounts depts of the customers we're waiting on are busy with end-of-financial-year stuff - none of them are usually bad payers. I'll have to chase again at the end of this week if we still haven't got anything in.

Didn't get time to update the diary yesterday as took DS to London for the day.
Spent 106 on Tuesday on the weekly shop but about a tenner of that will be refunded because I rejected some of the substitutions.
Spent total of £24 yesterday, much less than I would have before I got my DFW head on as I managed not to buy anything at all in the gift shop - this is a pretty major achievement for me :A I'd told my DS to take his own money for spending and he didn't buy a souvenir either - I found this a bit of a revelation, if I'd been paying he would definitely have wanted something! Have had to take another £20 out of the holiday fund though as had forgotten to set any money aside for yesterdays outing.
Some payments are finally starting to trickle in from customers, but not before I have incurred £90 in bank charges. I am going to write to my bank and ask them to refund these though having read through some of Martin's articles on the subject - this is the first time I've incurred charges in the 7 years I've had the account so I'm hopeful they'll understand and refund.

P.S Been a bit of an angel on the diet front, only had 4 sins on Tuesday (fab lolly). Yesterday had 2 cappucinos (one with sugar because they didn't have sweeteners) and a fab lolly. Not sure how many sins the cappucino's were but just pleased with myself for resisting the cake!

Cards £1.49
Birthday pressie £10
DIY shop £3.95
Total £24.66
Food yesterday, had a bit of a blip:

1 pack swizzell fizzers
1 fab lolly
Light salad cream

Work again for me today, I've been doing this for nearly a year but still feel hard done by having to work on a Saturday. DH is working too so got to drop the kids at MIL's to be spoilt rotten for the day.
Had a couple of invoices paid so the account balances are improving slowly. Have written to my bank to ask for a refund of charges so I'm hoping they'll agree, I really could have done without the extra £95 being debited!

I managed to behave myself on the food front, despite going to a kids birthday party. Yesterdays sins were:
1 fab lolly
2 weetabix with skimmed milk (I am allowed these but had already used up my "healthy extras" so they have to be confessed as sins!)
I had a dream that I got weighed and had lost 4lbs so I'm hoping that one comes true
Managed another NSD yesterday, and also added to the savings pots (made sure I left some money over too so I shouldn't have to dip back in this time!). Ebay sales are looking good this week too - bids up to £50 so far with 36 hrs to go so should be halfway to target by tomorrow night

I seem to have lost the last two days entries, don't know how that happened??
Had quite a spendy day yesterday:
SW 4.95
Paper bill 4.85
Groceries 4.69
Also bought DD1 some birthday presents, but they're kind of "spending neutral" because they come out of my Ebay profits
Got her the bike she wanted at a massively reduced price - RRP is £79.99, but was on Amazon for £56.25 plus I had a £10 gift voucher for Amazon so only spent £46.25!! I wanted a magnetic calendar for her as well and the ones I've been looking at were £15 to £30 but found a lovely one on ebay for £8.75.
Happy to report that I lost 1.5lbs when I got weighed yesterday - doesn't quite make up for last weeks gain but at least I'm heading in the right direction :j Stuck to my sins again yesterday - 1 fab lolly and ate the skin on my roast chicken legs, couldn't resist
I've changed my outgoings figures around so that they only include minimum payments on the credit cards, as I think its more important this month to build up a bit of a buffer in the personal account in case of more cash flow issues. Disappointing as I really wanted to get rid of the Virgin card altogether but its only another month to wait.

Our cc debt has gone down quite a bit from the original figure though, mostly because I'd overestimated a couple of the cards as I didn't have current balances when I started this diary, plus paid a bit more than min bal on one of them. Will wait and update sig once the rest of my statements are in.

Couldn't sleep the other night so spent the time working out these goals:
Clear credit card debt: March 2012 At this point will move mortgage from interest-only to interest + repayment
Loan 1 finish: Feb 2013 This is £384 per month - will SO this amount to savings/ISA straight away for 1 year £4608
Loan 2 finish: Sept 2013 £130 per month, will add this amount to savings/ISA SO until Feb 2014 £650
Savings/ISA by Feb 2014 £5258
At this point will become a MFW - need to research it properly & work out MF date nearer the time but at this point the plan is to overpay by £500 per month.

Something weird is happening to this diary - one of the entries that was missing yesterday has reappeared! Perhaps the other one will come back tomorrow??
Checked my bank account this morning and all £95 worth of charges have been refunded :j - if it weren't for this site I wouldn't have even known that I could ask for them back so I'm thrilled.
The overall picture is looking a lot healthier, but I'm still not going to make any more than the minimum payments for the next month (my changeover day is 25th) because I want to build up a credit balance in my personal account rather than relying on my overdraft when invoices are paid late.

Window cleaner: £12
Passport photos for DS plus sweets for kids: £6
Swimming: £9  - this has gone up as special 50p swim offer has finished)
