Yes as its a component needed for your business. The computer hardware and its related software cannot be used for income tax purposes. Although be careful (if/when they do check you) that you can say that you do indeed use the computer for MS'ing and not 'surfing the net'. Keep the receipt and claim it.

    What exactly is that?

Sorry that should have been after my comment about if you are 'surfing the net' and not using it for your business then the computer hardware; monitor, keyboard, scanner, printer etc cannot be claimed.

If you are using it for your business - which you are -then you can claim the new computer (flatscreen, printer/scanner/copier AND any MS office software or any accounting packages such a Sage you are buying)

I'm in love.. I admit it... GR they are the very best of the bestest MS Co's although Tern come very close.....I have somehow.. not sure how, as my finger's not that fast managed to pick up 4 GR jobs in april so far.. and they are so lovely.. the questionnaires are easily to understand, the reports.. quick and simple.. and the fee.. decent... Love them.. bring on lots more for 2010/2011... please...

Tern are also fab, doing a job for them this month, they are so good at communciation and again the reports are fab.

These are my two top favourites.. whose are yours?

    I have 3 favourites: 1.GR then 2.GYP then 3.RE

I'm finding that a lot of MS shops are for RE in my local town. A few Gyp shops I cant do and Im always beaten to the GR jobs! I tend to stick with RE as there are more of them.

Thanks. Yes bought it for MSing. Also had a PC bloke come and set it up for me etc so I guess I can claim his charges too? ( I have an invoice from him as proof)
