Yes as its a component needed for your business. The computer hardware and its related software cannot be used for income tax purposes. Although be careful (if/when they do check you) that you can say that you do indeed use the computer for MS'ing and not 'surfing the net'. Keep the receipt and claim it.0 -

Sorry that should have been after my comment about if you are 'surfing the net' and not using it for your business then the computer hardware; monitor, keyboard, scanner, printer etc cannot be claimed.
If you are using it for your business - which you are -then you can claim the new computer (flatscreen, printer/scanner/copier AND any MS office software or any accounting packages such a Sage you are buying)0 -

GR they are the very best of the bestest MS Co's although Tern come very close.....I have somehow.. not sure how, as my finger's not that fast managed to pick up 4 GR jobs in april so far.. and they are so lovely.. the questionnaires are easily to understand, the reports.. quick and simple.. and the fee.. decent... Love them.. bring on lots more for 2010/2011... please...
Tern are also fab, doing a job for them this month, they are so good at communciation and again the reports are fab.
