On a 200-mile radius, I see 6 egg shops (3 different job specs), 29 PCs, 15 DVDs, 9 Irish cinemas, 4 days out (2 different specs), 13 kids' shoes and 16 age-related things that I'm too old for anyway!
Does that help?
And a partridge in a pear tree??? or we a little early for that ? :rotfl:Climbing back on the OS wagon after a short vacation to Recklessness

I did an egg shop today that no longer requires eggs :j
We still haven't eaten the last lot! I wouldn't say no to a nice choc Easter egg
I haven't done a single egg shop in the last four years!! But, I did buy all my chocolate Easter eggs in one fell swoop last week. I was doing a whole run of shops that was selling them at Tesco/Sainsbury prices, but limited to one per customer. I was needing to test whether or not cashiers were observing the restricted offers: ideal chance to buy chocolate goodies for all and sundry! I lost count in the end - now realise I have three too many!!:)0 -
Is anyone else finding that assignments seems to be getting bigger for less money.
I was sent one today for a supermarket and the following is required:
Making simple enquiries assessing the service you receive in 9 different areas/sections of the store
Assessing the queues at the Main checkouts Making a purchase of your choice at a Main checkout (Not a Self Service checkout, Basket Only checkout or clothing counter). You can spend as much as you like but must spend a minimum of £1.00 (we will reimburse £1.00 for this purchase) Making an alcohol purchase at a Self Service checkout. You can spend as much as you like but must purchase alcohol and spend a minimum of £2.00 (we will reimburse £2.00 for this purchase) Making a purchase at the cafe in the store. We will reimburse up to £1.00 for this purchase)
Hate to think how long the feedback sheet will take on that one0 -

I know who would have the extra three if I were in your shoes
Have you noticed how we all write a number as a word, as per MS protocol :rotfl:I aspire to be mortgage free by July 2014 :staradmin0 -
I have mentioned before... if when an alert is posted the person mentions the area it is in.. it may save us all asking after...just a thought... It doesn't mean we won't all go and check but at least we will know that the person who posted it was not area specific to ourselves.... NE, Scotland, NI, SE etc... as I say just a thought...
Some people don't like stating their location, and given the type of work we do, who can blame them?!0 -

I have three daughters. I know who will have the three spare eggs!
Well spotted - I hadn't realised we use the numbers/words convention. And there is probably less txt spk on here than on any other thread!0 -

I think it's because we're all in the habit of using full sentences with correct grammar and watching our spelling. I can understand why the companies place so much emphasis on good English - the longer it takes them to proof read and correct errors the longer the client waits for the report...
I like to think good English gets you further in this game but having said that sometimes I don't think they're that bothered as long as the job gets done :rotfl:
Some of the spelling and grammar errors the companies themselves make are hillarious!!! :eek:0
