Morning all! Cant believe it, but I got another yesterday - woo-hoo!That's 10! Normally DH and I go out for a "posh" coffee on a Sunday but I really am getting fed up with just about taking out a 2nd mortgage for two lattes and a couple of muffins. So - get this - we stayed home and had nice coffee out of my bargain cafetiere and croissants from the tray I bought in Costco on Friday. ( I froze the rest)
Although its not a huge saving I feel quite chuffed at my willpower!
We ended up having a quiet Sunday, which was very nice, knitting, reading and telly. OH back to work today so I'm hoping he'll get on ok. Im not convinced he's fully over the labyrinthitis but we cant afford to lose anymore wages. Top priority this week is getting income protection insurance in place - why we havent done it before beats me , but you know what it's like- you just kinda put off these things.:o
Small spends today, but nothing very exciting - need some groceries and Im going to get a plastic pill sorter thing from Boots to save me counting out all the tablets I need every day ( life on the edge, eh!);)

Spoon - dont worry about youre outfit you'll fit right in! Im going for shiny wet look leggings and crop top combo, plus of course my pink glittery stetson:rotfl:

Katenut - good luck for this week's rushing about - do we need to get our hats out for next Sat?;)

    Have a great day everyone!

you will always be rich enough to be generous.
  • Thanks as ever Solvent for the encouragement .

Will be having another NSD today :T. I will only leave the house to go to work later this afternoon. I'll take only my bus pass and leave my purse behind. Think i'll save my money rather than give it to Mr Greggs who makes exceedingly good cakes and sandwiches :D.

Have a great day peeps and happy NSDing .

I've got my mse wedding hat already :D It's a brightly coloured rainbow striped arran knit beanie & I stick a plastic faded daffodil in the rim to view the pix--I can assure you I look very fetching, & if I were not wearing it this weekend, I would have brought it to Glasgow with me so there!

Enjoy your day cw; with everything you've accomplished this weekend, without having that op--you deserve some 'down time'. Not sure I like the sound of scruffy clothes & walking boots tho :o..surely vampish lipstick & stilettos are more in keeping for a pamper sesh ;)

I know it's nice to 'do things', but I soon get bored if I do the same things for very long, so your break from tradition sounds ideal Jinty. I would have relished the fact I had a [relatively equally as] good coffee & bun, without the need to dress up to have it, particularly on a Sunday morning when you can stay in your jarmies, open the windows wide & have YOUR choice of music playing softly in the background. A New York loft space suddenly sprung to mind--probably that ad with 'Easy Like a Sunday Morning' & oooooooh yes! A hunka-hunk reading a broadsheet & stroking a pooodie-tat  only in my version, it would be an afghan or labradoodle cuz cats make me sneeze--not conducive to romance that; a red nose & runny eyes :o

Good Luck with the forthcoming week folks--especially our Blushing Bride :T I'm about to make the Mistress of the Numbers incredibly happy with me for a change, & declare no 12 for yesterday :D

I don't actually wear either on a day-to-day basis, and never the latter due to my back problems -- both things he's probably well aware of having known me for 25 years ;)

If it helps any, someone on the Shrinking Food thread has said they are convinced this snack shop are making their pastries smaller & using less filling, but still charging the same :o

  • Sat was NSD6 so half way there x
  • Think to-day will be a spendy day but you never know, I was bidding for a skirt on Ebay and someone increased the bid by 20p:eek: ......and I resisted:j:jI was quite relieved cos it meant I hadn't spent anything so far this morning:j.

Do you think its the aliens or do you think someone has transplanted my head when I wasn't looking?????

Might want to start thinking about who's going to be the kitty holder and how much we are going to kitty-up with or are we just going to do runners out of every pub???? If we are going to do runners, some of your might want to rethink the footware????:rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:

I missed the end of an ebay auction yesterday, which was annoying but did save me the £10 I would have spent! Do genuinely need a pair of work shoes though...
