Top priority this week is getting income protection insurance in place - why we havent done it before beats me , but you know what it's like- you just kinda put off these things.:o
I have income protection Jintyb and do feel better for it but I wouldn't be covered if I was off work for a few weeks as it only 'kicks-in' after so long........so I also make sure I have unemployed expenses x 3 months in my savings account. Appreciate that not everyone can do that though.
Different policies are different though so worth looking into0 -
curlygirl1971 what have you done, I came on here all innocent to catch up and now you have shown me those boots and I want them, I have just spent 10 minutes try to find where I can buy them, comparing designs and looking for the cheapest price as a good MSE girl.
My plan for the rest of the day when I'm not looking for new boots is to make endless cups of tea for the builders, take paper work to solicitors, post birthday card, pop to Boots to pick up a few bits on offer, take donations to chariety shop and see if I can pick up a few mugs for the builders tea - I'm more than happy for them to use my mugs, I just don't have enough to keep up with the number of people working on the house, also could do with a tray to carry all the mugs out to them.Fashion on a ration 2025 0/66 coupons spent
79.5 coupons rolled over 4/75.5 coupons spent - using for secondhand purchases

I've got my mse wedding hat already
It's a brightly coloured rainbow striped arran knit beanie & I stick a plastic faded daffodil in the rim to view the pix--I can assure you I look very fetching, & if I were not wearing it this weekend, I would have brought it to Glasgow with me so there!
Im having a purple cloche type hat a la Cilla at the Blind Date wedding, I'll bring my slipperettes for later when my feet are sore from dancing! Yours sounds a treat, esp with the seasonal touch of the daffodil!:rotfl:
I know it's nice to 'do things', but I soon get bored if I do the same things for very long, so your break from tradition sounds ideal Jinty. I would have relished the fact I had a [relatively equally as] good coffee & bun, without the need to dress up to have it, particularly on a Sunday morning when you can stay in your jarmies, open the windows wide & have YOUR choice of music playing softly in the background. A New York loft space suddenly sprung to mind--probably that ad with 'Easy Like a Sunday Morning' & oooooooh yes! A hunka-hunk reading a broadsheet & stroking a pooodie-tat  only in my version, it would be an afghan or labradoodle cuz cats make me sneeze--not conducive to romance that; a red nose & runny eyes
I'm glad you agree - I DID relish every moment ( I am becoming a bit obsessed with withholding my dough from the grip of consumerism! )Nottoobadyet wrote: »I missed the end of an ebay auction yesterday, which was annoying but did save me the £10 I would have spent! Do genuinely need a pair of work shoes though...
That sounds like that ad thats on the go ATM - ie this is the £10 Iwould have spent if some so and so hadnt beat me in the ebay auction!curlygirl1971 wrote: »

Curlygirl - I will have to tell you off - what are you doing posting piccies like that and tempting all our lovely NSD-ers.:rotfl: Those boot are great, love 'em, but they won't go with my outfit so I'm sticking to my pink platform boots - I can run in them though, so fine for a quick getaway:rotfl:
Morning everyone - you all seem in good spirits today and lots of NSDs being reported already. Will be back later for a roundup and bit of a chat:D:D..The time you enjoy wasting is not wasted time

Love both ... but will have to go for the boots. My feet just can't do heels any more - and I fear toppling over ... assuming I could even walk in them(!)

Ssssh don't tell Spoons but for those tempted by the Tartan Heels there are also these from Manolo Blahnik!! However I much prefer these....
But like most peeps, I will have to go with something more pratical - I'm only 38 but an hours shopping in 'regular' shoes leaves me feeling as if I've run a marathon barefoot on cobbles. So nowadays I only wear one brand of shoes and chose from their 'Active Air' range.........utter bliss but style icon I am not (LOL not that I ever was). Sadly not available in tartan though so found these instead:-
No NSD's for me this weekend Spoons......Petrol, Pulp-price-increase-fever*, night out to cinema all got in the way. Today will be NSD howeverand that will bring me upto a tasty 10.
*My mum heard on her wireless (That's what she calls it) that the price of pulp is going to increase dramatically and this therefore will have a knock on effect on pulp products such as loo roll, kitchen roll and tissues. So I went to Asda and bought several packs of loo roll on offer - brand that used to be called Charmin, 16 rolls for £4 which at first I thought expensive but a quick look at their own brand confirmed othewise!.....I think there has already been some price increases. Also bought about 4 boxes of tissues that were on offer too. God knows what people thought in the queue0 -
Ok am claiming early for to-day, I've ricked my back and getting out and in the car has just become nearly impossible so have hastened home to hide and take some painkillers. It might be a cunning plan just to get another NSD...............
Curly, flatties for me, got a dodgy leg anyway and now a ricked back, it would take ages otherwise cos someone would have to carry me and my zimmer.........................More than Two Years in
Doing it the Niddy way:j:j:j0 -
Paying off a debt out of my savings doesn't ruin my NSD does it?** Total debt: £6950.82 ± May NSDs 1/10 **** Fat Bum Shrinking: -7/56lbs **
