Hey Spoon, this guy might help you out with any pest control needed...
Thought I'd declare NSD no. 3 (for Monday) before catching up with you all (today I went to the park with my friend and her kids and we made a fundamental error: we allowed the children into Toys'R'us later on in the day... so it wasn't a NSD!)Jan10: 28,315.81 Jan11: 18,015.32 Jan12: 7,682.58 Jan13: 2,987.73 Current debt: 1,225.55

Hope everyone is well today - lots of new posts again today and lots more NSDs.
Well done to:
micron: wow no 9 - well done!! :j- and that was a very low spending weekend as well by the sounds of it. :j Yeah, this challenge is great, it really does make you think before you spend - I think we all owe a big thank you to our wonderful BigMumma :Afor starting this (and carrying it on, more to the point!).

anonymoose: another one over halfway now!! -:j well done for no 6. I’m fine today, thanks, hope you are too.... muffinsssssssssssss - love the smiley!:)
BigMumma: oooh no 7, you’re half way there now :j- Adam Faith, now there’s a “blast from the past” as someone used to say (can’t remember who though, just at the moment:o..)
positivelypurple: yay no 7 for you as well -:j only 3 more to go !!!!!! But oh dear to the car situation, not good.:( And double oh dear to your spending spree today- bit like mine last week.. As we’re in a singing mood .... “pick yourself up, dust yourself off and start all over again”... and, no, I can’t remember who sang that either
Changingme: well done to you for no 7,:j with another couple this week, you’ll be half way there as well
pure dead dopey: well done to you for no 7 also:j.. but oh dear to the cheque:(.. that’s a very expensive dog’s breakfast... hope you get the replacement one asap
teenyweenyspender: well done to you for no 8 :j- another one doing brilliantly
Nottoobadyet: of course you’re part of the community:wave:, how could you think otherwise, you’re very much part of the NSD gang... arrggh to 13 hours in the office, I hope they appreciate you. Oh dear to your friend, what a great birthday present:(... and oh dear to your OH as well:(... yeah, the recession is definitely over (according to the politicians anyway). Just read your last post and see you’ve got another NSD - well done for no 4:j
LadyfromVenice: well done you for no 8:j.... 4 in a row - slowlyfading has got a rival now;)...
Arrgggh to losing the thread, glad you found us again. Ooops, sorry about the “carp”, that wasn’t deliberate, honest guv:o
Baileys Babe: now come on, you know you loved looking at the men in kilts, think you’ve been lurking since and just ogling;).... well done on 9 so far :j- you’re doing brilliantly, a no spend weekend is very good going
blueelephanttrunk: well done for another one, think that makes 5 now for you.. you’re doing great!:j
katenut: well done for no 7, :janother one over half way now, yippee!! Hope the first day back at work went OK?:)
Dorastar: and :j for another one.. no 4 now I think for you. Well done for finding a different way home and avoiding temptation.:T I’m a great fan of lists too.... got them all over the place, unfortunately I don’t always act upon them.. that’s the next step
BlimusOreilly: yay no 7:j.. well done... You’re nearly at target now - of course that doesn’t mean you can go out on a spending spree after you’ve hit 10;)...
mookiepook: well done for no 4 :j- you’re doing really well now, keep going... and, yes, it does get very addictive after a while... think most of us have said that at one time or another;)
jintyb: yay to finishing the hat - well done. :j Great feeling of pride when the first item is finished. Fingers crossed for another NSD today - and I can see you made it - well done for no 7..:j
3Dogs: hello:wave: - well done for no 8,:j well over half way now. You will see that I’m still here updating everyone’s totals despite my carp (sorry LfV ) day
skaps: well done for no 6,:j that’s good going with your family being there with you... Re meeting up with your friends.. could you go for just a short while and say you’ve got something you need to do afterwards - would that work - or could you just say you don’t have much spare money and can only go for a short while. Depends really how understanding they’re likely to be really....
toottifrootti: another one doing brilliantly with an NSD weekend... well done for no 8.:j Hope you get everything done tomorrow so you can get lots more this week...:)
cannp123165:  hi, good to see you, hope you’re OK. Well done for another NSD, another one doing really well - no 9 now!!:j
Lollypop75: well done for another 2,:j think that makes 6 now. Fingers crossed for some more this week for you
nicca: ahhhhh thanks..... he’s cute.;) Well done you for no 3:j.... hmmmmmmm kids and Toys’R’us is not a good combination, methinks!!
And hello to everyone else:
butdoineedit?: :wave:hi there, I’m OK thanks, survived my carp day, and glad to see that you’re OK. Sounds as though you’ve been busy organising yourself, well done, and great that you’re staying so positive.:j Happy baking tomorrow, look forward to another update from the newly organised BDINI... take care x
cw18: ahhh... to the freezer situation.. I see what you mean now, hmmm that’s a tricky one, do you have the whoopsies or the milk and, on balance, you’re saving more money by buying the whoopsies.... Well done for being organised with the last lot of shopping though..
Wow, just read your last post - some brilliant whoopsies today as well.:) Ahh.....black skirts - that was me:o:o........
slowlyfading: oh dear to feeling tired and fed up:( but, having read that you’re covered in insect bites and are heading home today, I can see why.... hope you had a safe flight back:)
curlygirl: we missed you yesterday, the place isn’t the same without you. Hope you like the ebay purchase when it arrives - sounds like a bargain though.. and yay to cashback on your travel insurance:)... Re charity donations, for me it depends on who is asking and what the charity is. I already donate to one charity and am very particular about which charities I will and won’t support. Normally it’s around £5 but, if it’s a good charity and a close family member then I probably would give £10, but that’s a rarity.. It’s a tricky one though, the risk of upsetting someone is high:(..
willbedebtfree: think someone else on here (ah, katenut, just seen the post again) has said you could put the bottle of water down as emergency medical supplies - I’d go with that, I think, and claim today as an NSD - you can’t lose one over a 38p bottle of water:(.... Please don’t just choke though instead, we’d miss you:)
boultdj: great bargains there for £1:)... wish we had a market here, really miss them:(..
JES-F1: glad you enjoyed the drink with your friend and, yes, that was definitely a bargain!:) I couldn’t stop thinking about a hot sausage roll all last night.... Hoping for an NSD for you tomorrow:)..
rachelmk: oh dear to spend day today:(... fingers crossed you manage a NSD tomorrow:)
Another mammoth post....... Well done to everyone
And I managed another one today as well, taking my total to 10:j
Off to update the front page, see you all tomorrow

Saw a post in the last few days - I think it was on this thread - where someone mentioned her shopping weakness was black skirts...... Whilst getting on with decluttering yesterday and today I've realised mine must be black trousers!!! Other than the 2 pairs I've got specifically for work, I've already found (and put together to remind myself just how little justification there is for buying any more) another 6 pairs  And that's not counting my two (or is it 3?) pairs of black jeans either
Hey cw18 - hope you managed to get all those pies stashed away! What a bargain!
Just to say you're not alone with the black trouser weakness - Ive got at least six pairs too ( Im afraid to count) - some in a size 16 - for "fat days" some in a size 14 for "good" days, another has a long leg for heels and another pair is shorter for wearing with flats.:rotfl: What a carry- on eh? Oh, and a black pair with a pin stripe just for a change, plus black jeans ( 2 pairs). Forgot about leggings for casual wear - two pairs!
Did I mention that Im only in the office two days a week, so frankly I could get away with one pair!
Not sure if I'll make it another NSD today, Im going for a lunchtime coffee/bun with my pal at work who is having a bit of a rough time so I am going to treat her.
Have a lovely day everyone :j

Work was OK thanks, totally snowed under with paperwork (my job is normally an outdoor one but got two weeks of invoicing to catch up on, plus assessments for the trainees - boring!) - the plus side of this is that I should clock up a few hours overtime this week getting on top of it all!
I am doing something I never do and declaring early today - today will be NSD number 8!
Hope you have a better day today Spoon, thanks for keeping us all motivated:):) xx
Trying to jump back onto the moneysaving wagon .... :cool:0 -
Morning all grey and damp here no plans to go out apart from dentist and visit my dad so another NSD for me.:jSave £4500 in 20140
