karenccs67: :jwell done for no 7 - and yay to free lunch, well done to your friend. Good for you for avoiding the takeaway:T - very easy to give in to temptation sometimes...
slowlyfading: :wave:hello, good to see you back, hope you had a good flight? See you avoided temptation in the airport yesterday, so well done for nos 12 and 13. :j Yes, it is cold today:mad:

    And hello to everyone else:
positivelypurple: oh well... guess all of our plans can go adrift from time to time. Hope you enjoyed your coffee and well done for getting a birthday present:)
pure dead dopey: oh dear to no NSD today:(, liquid gold just about sums up petrol at the moment - in fact, gold would probably be cheaper:mad:.. Liking the magic cc - think we could all use one of them
saorsie: :eek: to the cost of the glasses...... are they gold-plated??

Hope everyone is well today. Back later for another catch up

Well done all for the NSD's today :T :T :T

Am pleased to report NSD 5for me today!!! :j (despite serious temptation to buy a lottery ticket for the massive rollover!)

Am very happy today, as it's amazing how quickly a bit of mse-ing pays off. It's payday tomorrow so have just checked bank balance & found i have enough to make the extra cc payment that is on my snowball plan & put £40 in the boiler fund!!!!!! :j :D :j

It's the first month i can remember where i haven't spent the week before payday juggling money from one account to another so i can buy more useless tat & it feels fab!! :cheesy:

& then as i'm clearing postal receipts from my purse i found a New Look gift card that i was given when i left my last job & it still has £19 on it, so i can treat myself to a guilt free birthday pressie next week... am thinking this more than makes up for my very bad night on sunday :D

Right off to ice my fudge cake & lick the bowl.... yummy!

What is snowball plan? I think I may be in need of one too!

Had to spend some money today on tea cos came home to find dh and kids had all scoffed their tea, he's had a blown tyre and as a result we have frozen meat and that's about it to eat, he was meant to do the food shopping today :( Plus Brownie fees were due and Brown owl didn't have a fiver change to give me so had to go and get some change from the pub while I had tea with friends.

I was going to say never mind not having an NSD and that it is money well spent but then......car, insurance, petrol, road tax, furry dice, fluffy seat cushions......:eek::mad:

I did have a nice car until DH started using it as a van for his gardening round:mad:. Now stinks of petrol inside and covered in grass and mud. Can't wait until we can afford a van for him.....or is that a new car for me?:D

Spoon, my kids are sweet.....sometimes....DS2 offered to pay for our fish and chips tonight. He came through with a box of pennies which we had given him yesterday "How many pennies do you need, mummy?" he asked. It bought a tear to my eye tearsofjoy.gif and I gave him a great big :kisses3:.
ETA: DH paid for them so it's still an NSD for me!

Dorastar, when i did my SOA it let me put my details into a snowball plan, which calculated how much i should have left each month in my budget & then allocates it to the most expensive debt as an overpayment. This shows you how quickly you can pay off your debts by making overpayments.

I find it really motivating as it has really shown me quite how stuffed i am by the high interest rates on my credit cards!!

(sorry not the best explanation, hope it makes some sense????? )
